Ideal first night restaurant?

If you could pick any restaurant (with the exception of Victoria and Albert's) for your arrival night dinner, what would it be and why?

If your going with kids do Chef Mickeys because it really gets you in the disney mood ...

the kids love our 1st night at chef mickeys every year

Have to put in another vote for California Grill -- our last trip was the first time we didn't start at the Magic Kingdom and eat at the California Grill the first night and we really regretted it! Starting off with a really nice meal and a great view of the castle and fireworks is the best way to let the Disney Magic take over!

We always go to Chef Mickey's on our first night. We have to see Mickey and his friends first thing!:thumbsup2

we do the Fantasmic pkg @ H & V it's a tradition-- and the show after a LONG day of travelling is SO comforting :goodvibes

We always do Chef Mickey’s for dinner on arrival night. Nothing screams WDW more than Chef Mickey’s!! It just sets a nice mood for the trip. We don’t go to the parks generally the first day—unpack, check out the resort, and have dinner. Kids (and Mom & Dad) get to see the main characters and have a Disney experience, keeping it low key. Sometimes, after dinner we walk over to MK and watch the parade and fireworks, but nothing else really. It’s a tradition I can’t imagine doing without.

Last trip we had Illuminations ressies at the ROse & Crown. We enjoyed it so much we are doing the same in Sept.

Check in at the Boardwalk. Leisurly stroll to Epcot thru the International Gateway, wander around World Show case until our 8:00 ADR's.

This year we are eating at 1900 Park Fare on arrival night then planning to hit the EMH at MK........hope it works out for us!

We always pick either Kona Cafe or Ohana. After a long day of flying we are ready for some fun, pretty cocktails!

There is nothing like Chef Mickey's to put you in a happy Disney vacation kind of mood. Most of the time we can even see the fireworks. You get lots of Disney and a good meal without the cost of a park day. :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:
