Idea for Journal pages...

I had an idea for some journal pages, but don't even know how to begin to make them. I had something in mind for the trip down. We live in Tn and it is around a 10 hr drive for us. I was thinking one for our pre-stay in Fl. and day at the beach. could someone either design something like this, or give me ideas on how to make them myself. I don't have my trial version of paintshop pro anymore, so all I have is paint, print artist express, and power point.
