Idea for Animator's Palate dessert

We went out to dinner last night at a local restauarant that served a Rice Krispy treat palette for dessert with the kids meal. Basically, the kids got a Rice Krispy treat on a plate shaped like an artist's palette. There were 3 depressions for the "paint". One was filled with strawberry puree. One was filled with chocalate syrup. The third was filled with jimmies. Each was served with a paintbrush. The kids got to decorate the treat before eating it. DS9 had a flower and DS11 had a butterfly.

As the kids were eating them, I thought about what a great idea this would be for Animator's Palate. They should have the Mickey Head Rice Krispy treats for the kids to decorate. This would be a great way to keep them entertained at the end of a meal.

Anybody know how I could send this idea to Disney, or whether they have started doing something like this?

I remember they had something similar to this at the flying fish. I can't remember if it was a Mickey cookie or cupcake they had, but it was served on a plate that looked like an artist palate.

What is the flying fish?

They have this at a couple of the WDW restaurants. There used to be an AP desert like this but it was discontinued a while ago. Someone has to have a picture of it though. :)

DCL used to have an ice cream dessert where you could "paint" your own toppings on it, using bottles of "paint" like the type honey or mustard come in. It was presented on a "palette" type plate.

I have a feeling it was discontinued for cleanliness reasons...or lack thereof. It was probably hard to clean those bottles, and it also probably made quite the mess at the tables.
If you find an old travel guide or advertisement for Disney Cruise Line, they'll show that dessert in Animator's.

Yep - AP had this the first year of MAGIC's operation. By the second time we went it was gone. A good concept that just seemed to not work well in practice.

Of course they continued to use the palette plates so we always remember back to the day ....
