I'd like to make a special request from my fellow pin collectors....

Some of you were posting on this board when I used to take my middle school students to Disney - through the generosity of many, we would fundraise our trips, pins would be donated to them and the incredible experiences they had were beyond words. I know Nat, one of our mods, was there a few times to see my groups of students, many of whom had never left our city or even the state of MA.

Over on the Scrapbooking board, we have a member whose story I asked permssion to share with you. If you go over there, you'll also see pictures of her group. If you happen to have any extra Disney paper, stickers, pins etc...you could donate, I am sure Jennifer would be most appreciative.

Clean out your disney stash and make someones day


As many of you know - I am a clinical social worker working with people with mental retardation and special needs. Last year we took a group of 13 individuals with special needs to disney - well we just booked it again - 13 people!!!
I waited till the last minute to make 13 autograph books, 39 matching shirts and 13 goody bags for the plane.
Well this time - I am starting early!!
If you would like to look through your stash and get rid of the scraps of disney paper, random disney stickers, last disney bottle cap you will never use (i made the cutest bottle cap necklaces for the group last year). ANYTHING!!! I use all kinds of random stuff to make their autograph books - some of the people still bring in their books to the program on a weekly basis to show people.
I am also trying to stock up on the disney mcdonald's happy meal toys that are coming out next week to add to the goody bag/ keep busy on the plane bags! So if you have anything or would like to contribute and clean out your stash at the same time! Our crew would be very appreciative of it!!!

I just want to let every one know that this is my group. We went last year and had a great time!!!! And are scheduled to go again in October - most of the guys enjoyed helping me trade my pins and were on the look out for the lience plate pins for me. A few of the cast members gave the group a few pins and they were over the moon - they still wear them on their coats or hats and SHOW EVERYONE!!!

Are you still needing items? I can always keep my eyes open at Property Control or Cast Connection.
Just PM anything and in what quantity and I will be sure to keep my eyes peeled. We go to CC around three times a month, and 4 times a year there are cast tent sales.
These sales are always a complete hit and a miss on merchandise. But I would be happy to keep this group in mind.

I will PM. Just thought of a few items I have on hand they would probably enjoy.
