ADVENT CALENDARS.
&
CHRISTMAS WRAP.

So,
do you have an advent calendar yet? Do you usually get them? What's on it?

And just add anything about Christmas wrap that you'd like.

that's mine =)

Omg I want a disney advent!!

I normally get my advents a little sooner to december like the week after thanksgiving

I love advents.. =]
I want a Disney advent, too.. =D

I want a Disney Advent calendar!! we usally have some.
And wraping paper, I just like the ones with the cute penguins on them. XD

Oooh, we do advent calendars every year! Its a fun way to count down till christmas!

And as for wrapping paper -- we usually do something boring. My mom refuses to buy any kind of cartoonish paper.

Usually we get our advent calendars on or around Thanksgiving since our grandparents can buy them at the Commisary and we pick them up at their house. They're generally German with random Winter/Christmas scenes printed on the front. They're been a tradition with us for... well, a really long time. :santa:

We have all kinds of wrapping paper, different patterns and tones and such. There are a a few rolls of the cartoony kind, some more 'sophisticated' or normal looking stuff, a little bit of shiny paper, and sometimes we'll have to use newspaper (the comics, of course) if there's nothing else available.

My mum bought two things of wrap today.
One's this ugly old fashioned Santa Claus and the other is shiney silver.
Needless to say, I'm going to only be wrapping in silver.

We have an Advent calendar that we use every year, it doesn't have chocolate, it's these little velcro angels and camels and stuff that you put into the manger, and the last day you put in this little Jesus into the cradle.
I used to love sticking things on that when I was little :D

And we also get chocolate ones. They rock, too.

We have this plush red advent calendar. It has this red santa that you put in each day's box. I start at Christmas and go up, so it's like a countdown. :p
We have alot of wrapping paper. My favorite is the SpongeBob one. :teeth:

I have a chocolate Cadbury's adevnt calender
<3

I want a disney one now though

It used to be a tradition (that i will carry on to my kids)

to use the wooden drawer advent and put little dollar store trinkets..

Like my bro would get a toy truck and I would get some dollar store barbie clothes

until we got to around the ages of ten then we wait until a new generation of kids

I dont know why but recently we decided to just switch to chocolates since my whole family is waiting for a new generation

but when I have kids I will make sure the tradition continues

so by the end of 24 days you have 24 dollars worth of stuff

Or sometimes they will jsut slide a candy bar in one of the drawers and put 2 dollars worth of stuff in the next

but usually the 24th is something special

like a christmas eve pin or something :)

I like that particular tradition

We color code our presents so we dont need name tags

Last year I was shiny red giftwrap and My brother was shiny blue my dad had shiny silver and I had shiny gold

and then anything for my other family members was wrapped in leftovers of those particular colors (sorry my word of the day is particular XD jk but its fun to type)

I like the little chocolate calendar things. Yummeh.

As for christmas wrap, we always have a WIIIIIIDE variety. From funny snowmen, to dark red with gold stripes. Etc etc. We like all kinds of things, I think it's silly to try and make your christmas wrap match. :p

I LOVE our advent calendar.
Its this little velcro nativity scene. Every day we stick another little fella on it until the barn is covered in camels and shepards or whoever they are.
We arn't a religious family at all, BUT ITS JUST SO CUTE.
Me and my brothers used to fight over who got to put baby Jesus in the cradle. (:
