Im 28 from the UK and haven't shown ID in a pub or at a bar in nearly 10 years. A couple of years ago i went to New York (first trip to the US) and was shocked to get asked for ID when buying drinks for my wife and I.

Will I get asked for ID at Disney (specifically the world showcase at Epcot) or are cast members pretty good at guessing age? Also what form of ID is acceptable as I dont want to carry my passport around with me all the time.

I would expect you will be ID'd more often than not. Disney, for obvious reasons seems to me more stringent than local establishments. Also, make sure your whole party has Id, the hotel pool bars etc will only serve one drink per valid ID. Enjoy, have a pint for me!

Definitely carry Photo Id of proof of your age, whether it be your UK Drivers License or your Passport.... there are many new castmembers right now, and they have been told to card just about everyone... better safe than sorry! Also, depending on your ticket, you may need it if they have issues at the front gate.

I've been carded outside of wdw but I don't think I have ever been carded inside, except the entrance to pleasure island. I know I have never been carded at epcot. That said, I'd be sure to bring an id with me anyway, and I always do.

Wait a second, I think I'm just getting old. Better take the ID.

One other thing to know, Disney's policy is one drink per person, so if you want to buy 2 beers, then your DW will have to wait in line with you. One person cannot buy multiple drinks.

Thats going to very anoying. =

When we were over in November, everywhere we went the policy seemed to be 2 drinks per person (perhaps it recently changed though), any more than that and the other people had to come in line. Definitely make sure you have a photo ID with your age on it, I am carded all the time.

Yes, in my experience as well, or at least be in range where the cm can see him/her. My dh or I would wait on a bench with the kids while the other ordered. (Ususally frozen margheritas Yumm). The CM will serve two max if they can see the other person, I also just brought dh's ID with me as well.

FWIW I am way over 21 and been carded at the beer cart by the American Adventure in Epcot as well as the frozen margherita stand in Mexico.
