:cool1: Yea! We're leaving in 2 days! But I completely forgot about Id bracelets for the younger kids (ages 5 & 7). Any suggestions as to how to keep ID on the younger kids in the event (God forbid) they get lost????

Dog Tags from a local military surplus store may help out in a pinch... you can, of course, put them on a clip / necklace / etc , and they can stamp whatever you want on them while you wait (i.e. your cell phone #, etc)

This was the idea I had as well. If you don't have a local military surplus store near you, you could always use the actual dog tags that you can have engraved at the pet store. There is an engraving machine for luggage and dog tags just inside the door of our local Walmart. They print out in just a minute!

My daughter carried a backpack the last few trips and we put her name & hotel on the back of a luggage tag & attached it to the back pack, in case she got separated from us or the backpack got separated from her. I like the WM dog tag idea.

I went to Wal-Mart and used the pet tag machine. I made a tag for each child with our cell phone numbers on it. Then I went to Michael's and bought some of that rubbery stretchy string and used it to make necklaces out of the dog tags. Every time we left the room the kids put those on. I was really glad, too because when my 8 year old son got lost at AK he knew exactly what to do - find a CM and show it to them. He was "found" very quickly!!

I always get sticker labels and write down the kids names and our names and cell number as well as where we are staying. I put this on the back of their shirts so they can't take them off. Of course they are younger, so the 2 year old especially wouldn't understand showing a small dog tag to anyone. This was people notice it. Everyone in line always is amazed at it. :confused3 It just seems logical to me. :flower:

Oh I like that dog tag idea... Going to have to go get two for our trip in April!!

We just took a brightly colored index card and laminated it, punched a hole in it and strung it on yarn. Ian wore it everywhere and was instructed that if the adults got lost he was to find someone wearing a name tag, any character or person in costume and show it to them. This is what it said

Hi, my name is Ian XXX. I am here with:
Mommy (Lisa XXX) her cell phone number is *****
NawNaw(Aunt Tammy XXX) her cell phone number is ****
Jenniepoo(Aunt Jennie XXXX) her cell phone number is ****
If they get lost please call them for me so that I can find them again.

We told him it was required that all children wear name tags just in case. Of course, with 3 adults with him we knew the chances were pretty slim he'd need it but you just never know.
