Sorry if this is an old topic, but do you do anything to ID your child while at WDW?

My sister, a nurse, used to get hospital braclet/bands and fasten them to her kid's legs. She noted name and resort and contact on each. (Thankfully they were never needed.)

I'm not sure if my kids could tolerate bands on their legs. I have a 3 1/2 year old son and a 1 1/2 year old daughter. Of course we hope they would never wander away, but you never know.

What ideas can you give me?

My 3 are a bit older than the kids of the 2 previous posters.

My kids are each wearing a fanny pack for their sunglasses, autograph books, and a snack or two.

I'm putting an ID card into each one with contact info and allergies (2 of the 3 are allergic to an antibiotic.) I typed the cards up yesterday, and today will tape them to index cards.

They'll know that the cards are there, with instructions to give the card to a CM if we should get separated.

Yes, I put "Mom XXX-XXX-XXXX" on one side of the bracelet and then "G'MA YYY-YYY-YYYY" on the other side (not enough room to put Grandma) I guess I could have put our first names, too......

Where did you get a fanny pack to fit your 5yo DD? I'd like to get a fanny pack for my 6yoDD but so far, the fanny packs I've seen are mostly for adults.

Oh, and btw, we're neighbors. I live in Queens. :)

My 3 age, 8,8 and 5 wore fanny packs also. Rather than put the info on the inside of the fanny pack, I attached a luggage tag to each one with the child's name our phone numbers and our hotel.

The $4.95 one is SMALL!!!! As in, I ordered a larger one (the $5.95 one) on Monday when I realized the other one really was too small for her. I ordered on Monday, and they emailed me that they shipped it yesterday.

We went to the pet store and got a dog id tag made with our name and phone numbers on it and then I attached it to his shoe each morning. I thought about the bracelet idea but my son is always losing them. He also had a fanny pack with a card inside with our numbers on.

I saw a thread about this last week sometime, someone mentioned temporary tattoos you can buy.

I'll try and find the thread.

I love the wrist ban idea. Last year we used the whoshoeid tags. but i think i like the wrist bans better.

We used the id tags you velcro to the kids shoes....they are water proof and do not come off easilty, the boys knew not to play with them. We got them from www.whosshoeid.com check them out, they are worth every penny!!

I bought dog tags with the kids names and my cell and my moms cell numbers on them. You can get them cheap online. Just have to do some research!!! They have those machines at walmart too.

We have the Who's Shoe Id.

My husband joked about just writing the information on dd's back with marker. In today's scary world, maybe not a bad idea. The only thing she (or anyone else) couldn't take off easily.
