Does anyone know the name of the Icewine that is served in Le Cellier in Canada? We sampled some at the Food & Wine Festival this past fall and to quote Rachel Ray "Yummo":drinking1 We would love to find this brand locally (Annapolis,MD) Thanks:)

I don't have an answer for you but they offered 2 kinds when I was there last month. I wanted to try it until they told me it was $17.00 for a 3oz glass :scared1:

The brand that I see in Canadian Liquor store is Inniskillin Estates. I am having trouble putting the url in but it includs how to buy in the US. It is somewhat seasonal and very very pricey...but so so worth it. My friends and I used to toast with it for New Years:

$17.00 is outrageous for a glass that small. However, the more expensive ice wine is, the better it is. A relative got a cheap bottle and poured me some and it tasted like super cheap grape syrup with more sugar than grape juice.

Le Cellier offer both Inniskillin and Mission Hill Icewine. I believe it was the Mission Hill brand that was served at the F&W festival.

This is not necessarily the case. We have found price means nothing when tasting ice wines.

Vidal (is that the same as mission hill). Runs for about $20 per bottle.
Very very good for the price, impressive actually.

The Ice Wine Martini at Le Cellier uses Inniskillen. If you happen in Le Cellier be sure to grab one of these. It's not on the menu, but is DIVINE.
