Has anyone used Icelandair to MCO via Keflavik? Getting some good prices on consolidators for this routing.

I saw these too last night and wondered the same. Please let me know where you saw your prices (Dialaflight by any chance?).

Good luck!

We haven't flown with them yet, but we've booked via Airline Network for Dec 12th - Dec 27th, two adults and 1 child = £908 incl taxes.

Virgin, from Gatwick was coming in at around £1600, plus about £100 for the transfer from Edinburgh to Gatwick with one of the low cost carriers.

This is from Glasgow.

 Hi all,

Yes we've flown with Icelandair:D

If you don't want nice, cheerfull cabin crew (with manners!) then this is the flight for you he he!

Dh flew with them last year(a week after DD and me), he found them excellent, i, on the other hand much prefer cabin crew that smile on occasion:rolleyes: they're a right cold bunch (must be all that ice he he!)

That said the flight itself and the plane were fine, the stop over to Iceland was different and they offered us free tickets and transport to a hot spring place that DD and i didn't go on but DH said it was fine and helped the time pass a bit:D

So if the price is right i'd say go for it but be prepared for the rather long wait at the iceland airport(spotlessly clean BTW, you could eat your dinner off the floor!)there are a few shops and a bar and a couple of cafes and duty free places.

Hope this helps a little, don't let me put you off too much because as i said DH had a good cabin crew so mebbe my crew just had an off day;)

Luv Audrey,
xxxxxxxxxx:wave:

I flew with them just last month and agree with the previous poster.

The price was good but the cabin crew - wow what a cold bunch! No manners, and not a smile at all. We also felt that the food and drink service could have been better. One meal which was barely edible and no drinks after that for the whole flight, unless you went and asked for one.

The wait in Iceland was lengthy but we went to the Blue Lagoon hot spring which passed the time. We didn't go in but we had a drink. The airport doesn't have much in it.

The actual flight was very smooth and fairly quick. So if price is the biggest issue I'd say go for it. Just be aware of the other issues mentioned:-)

We booked Icelandair flights yesterday flying out to Orlando on Boxing Day and coming home on January 3rd. We got a really good deal through dialaflight. At the price we got I couldn't care less whether the cabin crew smile:teeth: as long as I get there safely.

Hi

I have flown with Icelandair once and vowed NEVER AGAIN!

The cabin crew - so unhelpful and so cold.

The food 2 flights going consisted mainly of fish or fishy type things. Only my DH and 1 out of my 3 children could eat it - there were a lot of people complaing about the food.

The food on the flight from Orlando to Iceland was chicken curry - no other choice - there were a lot of complaints about this also.

The actual planes were OK apart from one which had seen better days.

The Iceland airport staff again not very pleasant BUT the airport was absolutely immaculate and very pleasant to wander around.

To me the price difference between my normal choice of airline, Continental and Icelandair is well worth it for the difference in service and the added bonus of clearing immigration in Newark.

Some interesting reponses!

I'm not a demanding passenger so the service won't bother me, but a note taken about the food, extra rations to be packed just in case.

The trip to the Blue Lagoon is part of the attraction, combined with the flight being relatively local.

My Mum & Her Husband flew back with these from spain. (tenerife).
They wasnt supposed to be on that flight home, but for some reason mum thinks it was to get them all on one flight and save other flight journeys!
She said they was very very good.
She was impressed with the plane which was new - ish.
The food was nice, and the crew was nice?

So I dont know, but she was looking to fly with them again.
And believe me her husband is a VERY PICKY person! and he enjoyed it too.

Not sure what more to say, just that they enjoyed it. :)
