I know this is silly but do they have sweet tea (for the Southerners -haha) or is all the tea unsweetened?
Thanks

I am a major iced tea drinker, and all I recall is unsweetened. For the longest time, they served that Nestea swill out of a tap (ugh!), but now it's fresh brewed. Just add LOTS of sugar if you're from the South :D

I agree with the above poster, at least about the tea being unsweetened. I can drink it either way, sweetened or unsweetened, just depending upon my mood, but on all the cruises I have been on with DCL, that the tea has always been served unsweetened.

I am glad to hear that they have gone to fresh brewed ice tea. While I never found the Nestea version undrinkable, fresh brewed ice tea does taste better.

Enjoy your ice tea on DCL.

Unsweetened thank God. I went to a convention in Atlanta and All I could get was sweetend ice tea. You would have thought I was a criminal for wanting unsweetened iced tea. Spent the entire week stuck drinking water.
The problem with sweetened iced tea is those of us who have diabetes can't drink it and in many places that serve sweet tea won't provide unsweetened for those who cannot have it.

Thanks for the info. everyone. DH and I like unsweetened and the DK's like it sweet - guess I need to bring a box of sweetner.

Ah-h-h-h Sweet tea!! I enjoy sweet tea and look forward to going south to have it. But I was in Hilton Head and there were lots of restaurants that only served unsweetened iced tea.
Once in Tennessee I ordered tea and the waitress asked (with a strong southern accent) "Hot or Ahced". I replied "Ahced" and the she said "Sweerun" I must have excused my self 2 or 3 times until she said (again in that accent) "Sweet or Unnsweet?"

:rotfl:
Now my problem is that I have to drink decaf tea. When will someone make up some decaf iced tea?::yes::

Ahem...

I live in Atlanta, and I resent that....

YOu CAN too, get Unsweet tea, in LOTS of places... My mom has Diabeties and gets it unsweet ALL the time...

You won't need to bring the sweetener--the cruise line has Equal and the pink stuff. There's a rumor (a server told us) that they're going to start carrying Splenda, but it wasn't available on our last cruise. Sugar packets are also available.

Pardon my ignorance, but isn't Florida in the south? (I guess it is south of us anyway) I think it was in Florida, though, that we first became hooked on sweetened tea. Then, traveling through Georgia, Tennesee and Kentucky fell in total love with it. But I think the best option for DCL or any place is to offer sweet or unsweet at all times, then everybody will be happy!:hyper:
