Iced Tea

In sit down locations, it is unsweetened. At places like pizza port, the have both.

What about the coffee available there - the same scary Nescafe stuff they try to foist upon unsuspecting guests at WDW? (except at Kona Cafe, goooooood stuff there!)

Yep, the coffee in the parks is Nescafe. Blergh.

Compass Books in DTD serves a decent cup, though. There is Peet's at Haagen Dazs. The Jazz Kitchen has chicory coffee in New Orleans style. So far that is all I have been able to scrounge up. :sad1:

Very familiar with the coffee at Compass Books.

Is Haagen Dazs in DTD? Do they only do brewed coffee or all the different espresso drinks that a regular Peet's does?

Thanks!

Thanks - I'll have to make sure that I get a pot or two in me before heading into the parks. I'll bring some good stuff (8 O'Clock French Roast home ground into dust) to make at the hotel each morning.

Yes, the Haagen Dazs is in DTD. The main problem is that they are not open super early as I recall. They have a limited espresso menu, basically latte, mocha, etc. Not as many options as Peet's. And the baristas are not as trained/nice as the Peet's baristas, but it does beat a Nescafe machine made latte imo.

Thanks for the info. I know what you are talking about when it comes to the difference between a regular Peet's and a sublet type one.

We will probably stick to Compass Books since we went there every day on our last trip and every espresso drink, hot or cold was perfect.

Don't know where you are staying, but made sure they have actual coffee pots (we take our own) and not those little one or two cup things with plastic inserts (like PPH has) because you can't brew your own in them (I guess you create a filter and give it a try, but you'd need lots of coffee in your system first, LOL) very easily.

We're a big coffee family (two pots a morning, easy, sometimes 3) and that stuff in the parks, and at the hotel, just doesn't cut it.

We'll be staying at the BW-PPI, anyone been there lately? I would have assumed that they were like all of the other BW properties we have stayed at and had an in-room four cup pot.
