Ice Station Cool?

We are planning our trip to WDW for August and were dismayed to see that Ice Station Cool has closed for rehab with plans to reopen in 6 months. What are they thinking to close it during the hottest part of the year and then re-open during the winter? We always look forward to visiting there and escaping the heat for a bit.

I could be wrong but I think it's part of a larger plan, as Coca Cola is also building a brand new venue in Atlanta at the World of Coca Cola. Perhaps they are just redoing everything at once.
