We are staying 6 nights in a 1 bedroom at SSR. I was wondering if the refridgerator has an ice maker?

I think OKW is the only resort with ice makers in the one bedroom and larger units.

And I think I saw ice makers in the BLT models.

Yes, that's true. There's the whole "some furnishings may change" disclaimer in the model, but I'm expecting the fridges will in fact have ice makers. But will the water be filtered is what I'm wondering. ;)

The fridges at SSR do not have ice makers, but there is an ice bucket in every room, and several ice machines in each building.

Hope that helps.

Charlotte

I beg to differ. I'm in SSR right now and there ARE two ice makers in the freezer (if you consider ice cube trays as ice makers). ;)

Thanks for all the replys. We just wanted to be able to make frozen margaritas while we were visiting the Mouse.:)

My SSR room came with 2 ice makers. The 11-year-old ice maker was sent to fill the ice bucket while the 8-year-old ice maker had to fill the blue treys.

 Party in Starfan's Villa  Be there or be square :rotfl2:

OKW and VB have them, not sure about HH. BWV going forward to not unless BLT adds them back.

:rotfl: Good to know! Hope my ice maker at OKW works as well as yours!

Do the regular taps for the sinks have filters? and do the ice machines use filtered water? If it is no to both I doubt it makes much difference? :confused3
It would be nice to have cold filtered water though:thumbsup2

I'm not sure what you mean.

No, the taps don't have filters. When I make ice, I use water out of my Brita pitcher to do it, though.

Our fridge's ice maker filters water - I figured most newer fridges did this.

I guess I forget people who don't have to fly 17hrs bring their own filter jugs etc.
It would certainly be a nice gesture having a fridge that did that but it isn't standard on all new fridges so it will be interesting to see :)

No, I fly (only 3 hours), but I use Owner's Locker. :woohoo:
