Ice Cream Social -- Details Needed Please

I keep hearing about an ice cream social, but can't find out where it is, what it is, how much it is, when it is, etc. I went to Deb's menu list, but can't locate this. Can anyone help me with this?

My family and I attended the ice cream social when we where at WDW in July. It is held at the Garden Grill Rest. at EPCOT. The chacters are there of course because there are meals going on at the same time. It is held at 3:00 in the afternoon and I think it was like $6.95 per person. You get a big serving of ice cream with a waffle cone and it is arranged very attractively on a plate with chocolate sauce and gummi worms etc.. My son is seven and he really enjoyed it. You can make a PS through WDW dining.

Give it a try I think you will like it.

We loved the Ice Cream Social when we went in May. It was a lot of fun and we got a lot of Mickey time I have never had a meal at Garden Grille so it was a nice treat as well! Would definatley do it again. When I called to make the PS for it, I had to go into detail with the CM on the phone as she could not find anything on it either!!

I read somewhere here that lunch will stopped being served during the ICS, so that during that time only those with PS for the social will be in the Garden Grille.

I was told when I made our PS's that we (the ice cream social peoples) would be the only ones in the restaurant at that time. That they stopped serving at a specific time.

I had never heard of the Ice Cream Social before but started to learn about it here. It seemed like something our family would enjoy especially my 2 DS. They love Ice cream and anyway to make it extra special is so GREAT!!!! I made my PS today for ours!!! Thank you for enlightening me to something else I never knew about!!!!

We did the Ice Cream Social this August; the cone sundaes were yummy & my DS, age 5, got a great surprise. Mickey sat down at our table, took his placemat & a crayon, drew a self-portrait & autographed it!!! Mickey was with us for about 10 mintues & my little guy loved it (the 16 yr. old DD was petty impressed too!)!!!!
