Ice Cream Social at Epcot

I have heard of an ice cream social at Epcot but I can't really find any info about it? hmmmm....
Where is it?
Do I have to make a PS?
Is it worth it?

Or if anyone can direct me to a link explaining this I would be grateful!

The Garden Grill also hosts an Ice Cream Social afternoons at 3, 3:10, and 3:20 p.m. The cost is $6.99 plus tax and gratuity per person (same charge for children or adults). Mickey comes around and joins in the fun! This is a great way to see Mickey and usually is not crowded.


Other characters are Pluto, Chip and Dale. We've been twice and have thoroughly enjoyed it. It's very relaxing and we've had some great character interaction. A Ps is needed.

I just made a PS for Monday 1/12 at 3:00 for the ice cream social. It is located at the Garden Grill (second floor of the Land Pavillion). What better combination can you have - Mickey and ice cream!

I called the WDW dine number and made the PS - we have 8 people so they switched me to the group department to actually make the PS. We had to put down a credit card because of the number of people ($10.00 if you don't show or cancel same day).

We first heard about the social on these boards. I heard it was difficult to obtain a PS but we had no problems. We went to the Ice Cream social last year for the first time with our daughter who was almost 2 at the time. It's a fun and inexpensive way to cool down, relax and meet Mickey, Chip, Dale and Pluto. They each came to the table twice except for either chip or dale (I dont' remember which one). They played peekaboo with our daughter and she thought that was great. We have a lot of great video and pictures from the Icecream Social.

The kid's icecream was cute and it was good. Our icecream was good too. The booths were high so we didn't feel like we were sitting on top of other people so we had "privacy" at the table. The platform revolves which was fun too. Our server was very attentive and kept coming over asking if we needed more drinks, etc. and she kept checking to make sure the characters had been to our table. My husband and I feel that it was worth it and we will definitely do it again.
