How well do you like Ibotta? How do you gain the most? Tips, advice etc.

I looooove it, my strategy is to maximize store coupons, manufactuer coupons, plus store rewards with bonuses ......
Tonight I purchased the Kimberly Clark from walgreens, spend $20 get $5.00 register rewards ....bought one of each of the products on ibotta to maximize my rebates, used coupons, and points to pay almost nothing.....in return I ended up with the $5.00 Catalina and the $6.00 from ibotta rebates..... It's not in the ad but I received notice of the promo while shopping in the store the other day....so when these popped up I totally jump on them and submitted. ( my rebates for these were the 4 items individually, 1.00 June boost bonus, the 1.00 walgreens stock up bonus, and my team bonus.....earned back 15.50 on tonight's trip paid $20.... :)

It's okay. I save about $5/month but it took me a while to figure it out. I love the any brand coupons. I think if I had a team I would do better.

I like it. I was able to cash out in my first six weeks of using it due to all the "any brand" things. I just shop how I normally shop and think of the rebates as a bonus. I'm not part of a team, though I think I'm going to refer my mom, so I'm not fulfilling many of their bonuses before they expire.

So I just started this yesterday.. Can someone explain the team concept to me?

I absolutely love it! It took me a little while to figure it out. I recommend connecting it to a facebook page, so you can get teammates, and can hit extra bonuses. I find the bonuses this month haven't been the best but they have had a few extra bonuses, like if you redeemed $4 by a certain date you got a $1 bonus. I also recommend doing a search for Ibotta pages on FB (there are private pages). On the pages, they will usually have a post for people who want to add teammates. You send them a friend request, and if you want to, you can "unfollow" them and put them on a restricted page. I kinda wish mine would be linked to maybe a different FB page, instead of my personal. I managed to get a few referrals on FB from my regular friends but only one person is really active, and I made a few dollars that way, but not many people that are my "friend's signed up. I have probably made $80 in past 2 months, and the month isn't over yet. I want to get the $4 rebate for the chicken and zip lock, and marinade and I have basically 2 toddlers, so I will use the pamper's easy ups again. I like how some of the offers resets. The 75 cents refunds on the kids birthday cards is a good rebate- there are 97 cent cards at Walmart. I buy bananas and milk and for a while, I was getting that bonus a lot. I love the any brand rebates :)

For me its just okay. If your stores are listed on there that you shop at regularly you will earn more. Our 2 local grocery stores are not listed. I cashed out for $10 or $20 last month (I can't remember) but it took me a long time to earn that. I don't really shop at Walmart very often and just do CVS and Ruler when I go there (next town over)

Oh and I do have a team that I think earns but I never get the bonus because I never qualify with my own earnings.

I know some of the rebates aren't available often at some of the stores listed too, and that is probably my only negative thing about it. Like Sams's will have dozen egg rebate but they don't sale a dozen. I do find it interesting that you can redeem some of the offers at Sam's since they don't take coupons. I like the restaurant rebates also. We eat at Chili's 1-2 times a month and sometimes more than that, and it has been nice to be refunded at a place we normally go to. At one point, they were giving rebates for movie tickets. I often use receipts of my relatives (mother in law and mom). I have actually set my mom up with an account and I do everything for her and she's at $30 and she plays. I like that it can be linked to my paypal account and then transferred to my checking account or be transferred to a Walmart or Amazon giftcard. I recommend cashing out every $10 if you have paypal. That way if you somehow mess up and have your account locked, you definitely won't lose any money.

I like Ibotta because it offers rebates on fresh items. I've gotten rebates on limes, onions, bananas, salad kits (any brand), peppers, etc...

I also like the "any brand" options. Traditional coupons are like: "50 cents off Tropicana Orange Juice." Maybe you prefer another brand or find Minute Maid on sale--you can use the any brand rebates for the orange juice you choose.

I love Ibotta! The "any brand" rebates, and the produce are pretty great. I also look through the rebates and try to match them with coupons and sales, so if an item comes up free or cheap, I tend to get it and then donate it to the food pantry. There are also a lot of beer rebates, and my husband will scroll through the list before we go shopping to see if there is something he'd like to try for the week. Another way that has built up money fairly quickly has been having my parents save their receipts as well - often I'll find something they bought that qualifies, so I just scan their items when I'm stopping in to pick up my kids after work!

I did link it to my Facebook, and a few o fmy friends do it as well. I almost always get the 1st and 2nd monthly bonuses, which is a good way to build up extra money.

In about 6 months, I've cashed out $150 for Starbucks and WalMart for our upcoming trip.

I like it okay, but I'm not necessarily their target market since I don't buy many processed foods, alcohol, or chemicals/cleaning supplies. It's fabulous if you buy a lot of the name brand "big" corporation products.

I only get credit for the produce items for the most part which may be only $0.20 per week or up to around $1.00 depending on what I happen to buy that week and which produce items are featured. Unfortunately the rebates are only valid at specific stores, and while I shop at Fred Meyer and Costco which are included, I also do a lot of shopping at my local organic co-op so even if I buy the listed items at the local store, I can't get credit since it's not one of the stores that is participating. They used to offer $1.00 rebates for specific movie ticket stubs and I did that a couple of times, but I haven't noticed any movie theatre rebates in several months.

I love Ibotta! Between my husband' sand my account, we have made over $200 since August. They have big rebates on alcohol. It really does add up! I always check my receipts, and usually have something I can redeem.

I hate to sound foolish. I'm confused with the whole thing. Is this an app for the phone, or on the computer. I Googled Ibotta and didn't really find anything helpful.
TIA

It's a smartphone app :) It's kind of like coupons. They offer cash back rebates on certain items, mostly groceries. If you buy anything on the list of offers, then you scan the barcode of the item and your receipt to show you bought it, and they put the rebate in your balance. When your balance reaches $10 or more, you can request a payment to Paypal, or I think they offer gift cards now too.

There are several similar apps, like Checkout 51 and Snap by Groupon.
