Still have a soft spot for:
Winnie the Pooh/House at Pooh Corner

The Little House books, esp. On the Banks of Plum Creek and Little Town on the Prairie - Oh, the Laura vs. Nellie Drama!!

Lloyd Alexander's "Prydain" books - which really really deserve a full-scale live action treatment, and I would so want Mackenzie Crook as Fflewddur Fflam.

My favorite book when I was little was Goodnight Moon. My four year old will still pick it for me to read to him and say, "This one is for you, Mommy." So sweet!

My favorites that I read myself were:

But my absolute favorite:
Anne of Green Gables

Mike Mulligan and his Mighty Steam Shovel.
The Foot Book
Go Dog Go (gotta love Dr Seuss!)
The Monster at the end of the Book by Grover
Harold and the Purple Crayon
If You Give a Mouse a Cookie

I see a bunch more I have really enjoyed. A bunch. :)

Harold and the Purple Crayon is a favorite in our house. For some reason it reminds me of, "Ish". I cried while reading it. I was surprised. Very touching book.

Skippy Jon Jones - these crack me up!
The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins - I LOVE this book.
