Man just saw Tomorrowland last night and really wish the IASW ride from the movie was really how it was, it could make it worth the maddening music.

Gonna have to do CoP now too in Dec since they featued the song in the movie.

Me too. I know it got medium reviews from the critics, but my whole family liked it. It's a great thought that there might be recruiters out there searching for us dreamers. I think I'll bring that up from time to time when pointing out how my kids need to get off the screen and have some variety in their activities. :D

DD and I saw the movie last weekend and I think that being a Disney buff really adds to the depth of the movie (obviously). After the movie I explained Walt's original concept for Epcot. All I have heard since seeing the movie is how much she wants to spend all of her time in Tomorrowland. What she doesn't know is that we leave Friday for a surprise 5 day trip! And I left the whole evening of MK day for Tomorrowland!!

Who wouldn't love a boat ride to another dimension? I loved that scene too! I went dress with a 1960s beehive and retro look! Don't think any of us will think of IASM the same...

There's no door in IASW to anything, what you saw is a clear figment of your imagination. Continue on, and have a wonderful day!

*seals up door* their on to us!

We loved the movie! The Disney references were great, but really loved the whole concept that we can change the world. We choose which wolf to feed. Had goosebumps at the end :)

You could have heard a pin drop in our theater, it was SO quiet with everyone concentrating on the movie and where it was going. Admittedly, it was the 7pm premiere at Disney on a Mem Weekend and all of us were geeks in the room who couldn't wait for it to open and who cheered for the SW movie trailer. Still, I appreciated that there were lots of us enthusiasts.

Try explaining that to people who keep asking me where I bought my Tomorrowland pin...because you can't find it for sale in the parks ANYWHERE not even Tomorrowland...? What the?

We loved it. I'm super sad that it tanked, and even more sad that they're using it's failure as a reason to cancel Tron 3.

It was a great flick! Agree with @MrsJD who said being a Disney buff enhanced their enjoyment. That's totally true. When "It's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" started playing I got the goosebumps and then...BAM...1964 World's Fair?!?! I was completely floored.

I know IASW is a classic attraction that really doesn't need "plussing" up, but if the imagineers ever decided to do something, then they should take the idea from the movie...shoot some boats down a ramp to a "time travel" room or something like that!

Never done pin trading and was considering for my trip in 6 months but shocked to hear no Tomorrowland pins? Doesnt disney sell tons of movie merchandise usually?

No merchandise at the park that I have seen yet. Last visit to Tomorrowland was Memorial Day and that was the weekend it opened. Have been wearing my pin all over Star Wars Weekends (along with my sci fi outfit) and it gets noticed a lot. That was the weekend it opened, and nothing for sale that I could find! Even asked the SM CM at the gift shop.

Anyway I can't believe it 'tanked'. It was packed out on opening night. I've also heard a lot "Is it good? I really want to see it" but they just haven't gotten around to it yet?

At DL on opening weekend they had pins and t-shirts. Not much stuff but some. The pins from Funko are more like the movie then the ones Disney was selling. They have a 1964 and a 1984 version.

Something like this MIGHT get me to happily ride IASW again.

Was there any other references that I might have missed? Space Mountain and IASW were pretty obvious. The song from COP was cool to hear. Did I miss and others?

The monitor sphere at the end has some Spaceship Earth style paneling around the bottom. It was hard to see since the thing was all opened up, but it sure looked like it to me.

I heard they filmed at CoP in Florida and ended up cutting the scene. That's really too bad, though I did love the movie. I'm hoping we'll get to see that scene as a deleted scene when it comes out on Blu-ray.

I have an extra pin I got from the movies if someone wants it the other one is on my knick knack shelf
