IASW holiday overlay removal?

There IS a holiday overlay on IASW right? We are planning a trip for next week, and I see that Haunted Mansion is closed for overlay removal, but I don't see anything for IASW. Maybe I imagined that it had a holiday overlay? We can do without HM, but I'd hate to miss IASW.

There is, indeed, an IASW holiday overlay this year, and the good news is that it is staying up a bit longer than it did in the previous years. This time, DLR is keeping the IASW Holiday up while the HMH overlay is coming down so they don't have both rides down at once. So that means IASW Holiday will be up for a week or two longer than it usually is - even after the rest of the holiday decorations around DLR have come down!! You won't miss it! I think IASW Holiday is due to be up until mid-January or so.

IASW's holiday decorations will be coming down in late January. Next week, they should still be up!

Ooooh! If IASW Holiday is up until late January, that is even better than mid-January! I bet a lot of people will be happy that they have extra time to see it again and again, when the holiday crowds have thinned out a bit. And then there will only be 10 months - not even a full year - until IASW Holiday goes up again, and eight months until HMH is back!!

Yay! Thanks so much for the replies. Ds (3) and I were singing IASW today and he said, "after that ride we go on Peter Pan". He remembered we did that from our summer trip!!

Hate to hijack but when do the holiday overlays usually go up? I'm planning a trip for the last week in September and I'd hate to miss either attraction.

If you go the last week in September to catch the Halloweentime stuff, you will most definitely see the Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay (Halloweentime generally begins on the last Friday in September), but not the IASW Holiday overlay. IASW in its regular, non-holiday form should be open, though. Not sure if DLR will do the Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy overlay again, but if they do, it will be open when Halloweentime begins. And the Trick or Treat Party does not begin until the first Friday in October.
