I just googled what a gallon was in my language (3.78litres) and I worked out that in NZ we are paying $7.56/gallon for our cheaper petrol and rising
Though we are a nice wee small country in comparison and DH rides his bike to and from work daily - about 45mins-1hr each way - though when you compare it to driving the time he loses is less than 15mins - somedays it's actually quicker for him to ride instead of being stuck in traffic. He's also lost a heapload of weight and looks fantastic
I'm thinking of getting myself a bike with a trailer so I can carry my girls with me for shorter trips - park, shops etc.

I do thank God for DLR though when I see the trends and watch the news,because it really does give us an exit stragedy from the real world for a bit!
o lucky yous,were paying througth the nose for it over here,we pay for diesl £1.30 a litre that $9.70 a us gallon
