I would never let my kid...

OMG. I swore up and down on this one too. Kids with boogery noses just make feel ill. :sick:Unfortunately, someone played the ultimate joke on me. DD was born with a nasal defect where her sinuses on one side of her nose were cut off from her throat... all the snot came out the front. :scared1: I had to live with those giant boogers for 5 months until they fixed her nose. At some point it became funny... but I still hate seeing a boogery kid.

Oh my goodness. that is a cruel joke lol

you know I can handle poop, I can handle puke... I CANNOT handle her boogers lol. I dont' know why but they just give me the heebie jeebies lol. blech.

there have been times I have found a booger in her hair (Oh yeah... in her HAIR lol) and had to pull it out with my fingers lol. trying not to throw up the whole time :lmao:

Said I would never let my kid go out in mismatched clothes looking like a ragamuffin. Well, when they get the 3 or so year old stage and they want to wear their favorite pants with their favorite shirt, socks, and shoes but all those favorites don't match. :confused3 As long as we weren't going somewhere important- church or nicer restaurant etc- I didn't care. It wasn't battle I was willing to fight then. :surfweb:

I'm so sorry your daughter had this problem as an infant, but glad they were able to fix it for her. And still, with all the messes they can make, we love them unconditionally, boogers and all. :lmao:

I would never let my kid go through life wondering if I loved them.
.

I won't ever let my kid get a facebook page before the facebook required age of 13!!
yea, my 10 year old hates me too! cuz EVERYONE in the world who is 10 or older has one mom, why can't I??? lol...

"I will never let my kid think that their father and I don't love one another. I will make sure that they see us tell each other that every day."

I gave up, now I never say never. QUOTE]

All of these! Love them! and Agree w/ them 100% Particularly the last one.. I have learned that it seems like every time I or someone I know says I would never let my child.... its like it becomes a HUGE test to see if they are gonna stick to it or not! Safer to never say never! :goodvibes

I learned pretty quick as a mom to "never"...say never.

I would never give my babies a pacifier. But when they were colicky and cried hours on end and didn't sleep through the night until they were 2, I relented. Her "pa" became DD#2's best friend.

I would never let my kid be NOT perfect and they will always beclean. Also, un-smelly, and they will NEVER, EVER have a TV inside of a restaurant or use opposite-sex bathrooms.

:lmao:

Can you tell I don't have kids? I'd be the best parent ever! ;)

In theory. :snooty:

In practice...:rotfl2:

I will never let my kids sleep in my bed. :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Yeah, RIGHT!!!! Oh, well, I love snuggling with them when they come sneak in my bed! I know they won't do it forever, so I enjoy it while I can! :goodvibes

I have the opposite. "I wll never turn my child away from my bed"

Um, yeah after so many years it gets old, and they take up more space. I had to break DD of it, and it was heartbreaking, but it had to be done. (she was about 7 years old when we finally put a stop to it)

One I have stuck to that I did say before i had kids:
I will never buy my child a violent video game. I do not tell tehm tehy cannot play them elswhere--no need to make it forbidden fruit, but we do not have them in the house and the kids know why. DD14 never has liked video games at all so it is a non issue with her. DS12 likes his Wii and nejoys playing games at other's houses. When he was much younger these sometimes included really violent games. Apparently now HE doesn't like them as more than one parent has told me he asked to play something less violent when at their homes and he recently asked his teacher if he HAD to watch a movie they saw in class set in aceint Rome because the violence was getting to him (his teacher called worried I would be upset because he had not realized the rating before he popped it in that day when the gym teacher was sick:rolleyes:).
I won't ever let my kid get a facebook page before the facebook required age of 13!! Can you tell we are having this discussion in our house lately? :lmao:

:rotfl: I have had that discussion with DS12 soooo many times since his older sister got her account. I am sure he will have one on his 13th birthday (I think he could handle it now, but I will not let him break their rules to use their service--I am mean that way).
