I would hate to be a Disney reservationist Sunday

I can only imagine what the scene is going to be like Sunday at Disney reservations. Not only have they been closed since after hours on Thursday, but all the new MYW stuff will be out. I can see the reservationist putting the phone down after the last call and it ringing again right away.
 
I've been on hold for about 1/2 hour so far. The new spiel they give says to press 5 for questions on the new tickets, only when you get the person whos at 5 (and they answered quick), they have no info on 10 day tickets. They only use the disney.com website. So she said to try reservations for new/booked vacations. so thats what Im on hold for. And the disney.com site is so slow, i can't get the new ticket stuff to load at all. Thats ok though. If I dont buy them today, then I'll get them tomorrow. I expected them to be busy.
 
I think you are right Mom2RinJen. I am going to wait a couple of days before I give them a call. :tongue:

Here is the info on the 10 day ticket:

Base Ticket $208 plus tax, for adults / $167 plus tax, for kids
Park hopper Options is $35 per ticket, plus tax
Magic Plus Pack is $45 per ticket, plus tax which is for 5 plus visits
No Expiration is $100 per ticket plus tax.

This ticket is avalaible at the hotel front desk and/or Park guest Relations, it is not on the main ticket screen so until the CM's are familiar with the new system they may have a hard time finding it... BUT it is there (I checked ;) )... It CAN be bought with or without the add-ons (I know there was some confusion about that)...

Not a bad deal if you think about it... If you get the adult ticket with everything you are paying about $42 per day (if you think of it in 10 days)... but you are in fact getting 15 days if you count the parks and the pluses which makes it $28 per day for Everything...
 
I was finally able to book, but not the way I wanted.

You can't get the 10 passes with a package. You can't book a package with 8 day passes.

I have the dining package for 8 nights, with the 7 day MYW passes. (I wanted 8 or 10 day passes) If I get the 10 day pass, I can't get the dining option. :rolleyes:

I know what you mean, I want to go May 27-June 6 and it will only let me do May 27-June 4 online. I wonder if I call CRO if I can do a 10 night package through them.
 
I know why everybody is waiting so long....I held for 8 minutes, but was on the line with the CM for almost an hour. He had lots of info to give me for my questions.

I am excited about getting to use the Magical Express Transportation.
 
We are going for 14 nights and also wanted the 10 day tickets, and the dining, the website only allows you to book the packages for 8 days. I am willing to break down the reservation in 8 and 6 days, and only have the dining for 8 days, but I really wanted the 10 day ticket so that we could use them for all 14 days....
LibertyBelle, what do you know, I really would appreciate any advice
 
I called about 2 hours ago. I had to add a day to our reservation (oh, DARN! :earboy2: )They picked up right away but I was put on hold several times during the call - the man who was helping me was very, very friendly but I could tell he was a little frazzled!! :D
 
Now that the Disney reservation system, has been down again since this morning when I went to AAA, I am wondering how many reservation people have gotten yelled at today because of it.

It's not the reservationist fault, but I am sure they are taking the brunt of the complaints just the same.
 
I called several times, had a short wait the first time and no wait the other 3 times. Yes, I called 4 times. Everybody was very nice and very helpful. I will say, many CMs are not very familiar with their own processes and offerings. Sad.

One person I spoke to, which I have spoken to before, was awesome and seemed like he had the 411 on everything. His name is Neimiah.

I am going through AAA anyways for my package since I can get a discount on my room portion of the package. I am just waiting for them to call back because of the computer problems.
