Charge For Internet Access??? You Would Think They Would Offer Free High Speed,Do You Think They Will In The Near Future??? If They Did I Would Probably Stay OnSite:cool1: :cool1: Or Am I Being Stingy!!! I Think They Charge $10 A Day For It..What Do U All Think??

I have rarely stayed on-site but did so at the Boardwalk last year, they do not have any in-room internet access but there is an area where you can pay.
Think it was $10 for just 15 minutes, personally prefer to use internet cafe's such as the 'World of Coffee' at Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores, you get half an hour for just $5.

we have always found this strange as there californa hotels have free wi-fi in lobby.Quick tip if your near virgin and wolfgang pucks in west side there is a free wi-fi spot.think it comes from magic shop,DS used to take his PSP to get his emails (stayed at ssr) for uni places

We totally agree, in this day and age, where many hotels offer free internet access, you'd think Disney would provide it.

I must admit, we take our laptop with us, whenever we travel abroad, and would expect to get free internet access where ever we stay. We'd certainly be lost without it!!

I have read they charge due to the contract with the internet supplier, not sure if correct but may make sense. If they didn't charge I am sure it would be included in the room rate somewhere, like when fridges were but in the mods and deluxes!

Most of the DVC hotels now have access at $10 for a 24 hour period. For some strange reason it seems that top end hotels in america charge for access while the cheap hotels provide it free. Go figure! I don't mind the $10 for 24 hours as that lets me access over two days and is uually plenty of time to catch up on emails and even post trip reports!
