As others have posted, I didn't think anyone ever won these things!

I wanted to answer your question re air mattresses. We usually bring 1 or 2 on our trips and we fly. We pack them individually in one of those smaller suitcases (carry on type) and then pack around it with other items to make it a nice tight fit. We don't carry the bags on, but check them with the rest of our luggage. We've never had a problem doing this.

I tend to still be a "lurker" but read your post and wanted to extend a heartfelt congratulations and Welcome Home!

When they said they are covering your taxes, does that include the gift tax you will be charged on your income taxes for the prize or just the property taxes? That can be hefty so you might want to plan for it if you have to pay it.

Any problems getting an air mattress on a plane in luggage?

First congratulations! I don't think anyone answered this question but I can. We brought down a twin air mattress (complete with little motor) on JetBlue from Syracuse, NY, to Orlando back in 2006. No problems whatsoever!

We are not sure about any homecoming....We were actually talking about that...I would think they might do something? Esp to promote the contest and prize they gave away? If not, thats ok, we still are pretty happy with our prize
