I am SOOOO excited!! I JUST won skyauction for October at the CPGV and am now going to cancel my other reservation which was a smaller villa at twice the price. We are going to love having the extra space!

Congrats to you... was it the RSG auction? I was watching that one..if that is the one that ended at like 3pm today?? I have been watching a few of them just to see what they are going for ... I haven't made up my mind on what dates I would want to go.. I am playing with a week in Oct where the 8th would fit in or Sept where the 16th would fit in, kids are off of school those days & would only miss 4 days as opposed to 5. Have fun!!!!

Hi, yes, it ended at 3:00 today. Here in Mooresville, the kids are off school the first week in October so that's when we go. I love skyauction. We just got back yesterday from a week on Hilton Head Island also won there. I had been checking skyauction for Orlando resorts periodically and was thrilled to see the Grand Villas come up. Good luck with your planning!

Just to clarify for those who may not be familiar with SkyAuction...

That bid of $41 doesn't include fees of $210, so the actual total for the week is $251 or about $36.00/nite. That's a great deal.

We're booked at Orbit One for November. I paid $261 for our week. Can't wait to see the place.

hey disneysteve - thanks for figuring that out for me; $36/night for a 2 bedroom, now I'm even more psyched (if that was possible!) Was your Orbit 1 a RSG auction as well?

Yes. I won it about a month ago. We leave to drive down on 10/29 - arrive on 10/30.

Four years ago we moved here to Mooresville. Before that, we used to drive from 'Jersey. The only time we were able to drive straight through was before we had all 3 kids!

We won't go straight thru. We'll leave when DD gets out of school on Friday and drive until about 10pm and stop for the nite. Then we'll be on the road about 8am Saturday and in Kissimmee about 12 hours later.

DW and I drove straight thru once before DD was born. It really wasn't worth it. We were exhausted when we got there and it ruined the next day. Better to stop overnite and be well rested when we arrive. Plus that straight thru trip was 10 or so years ago - don't know that I could even do it now.

Congrats...I love skyauction and have used them 4 times now and looking for a 5th...

It's nice to know it's $36 a night (TAX INCLUDED). It's even better than staying at a cheap motel...Gotta love it.
