I Won! I Won! I Won! Woohoooooo!!!

Okay - I checked on a frequent flier forum this morning. At least 2 people had spoken with Kelloggs and 1 person had spoken with the fulfillment company.

They had sent out the emails - it was not a hacker. They said to go ahead and reply. At this point, they are not saying one way or another whether they will honor the wins. People who spoke with them got the feeling that they are trying to see how big a problem they have on their hands first and that if it is manageable that they might still honor them (hundreds of winners vs. hundreds of thousands of winners.)

www.flyertalk.com seems to have the best info available. It has been confirmed as technical error. Supposedly they are determining who the actual winner is and will be sending a new email regarding the problem to the other people.

Doesn't look good, but I haven't given up hope yet.
 

Sorry, but new info every minute on this.

On sweeps board someone just got off phone with Kelloggs. The error was that everybody that entered was contacted as a winner. The real winners will be notified. The rest of us will be getting an email that explains what happened. They said that they will not be honoring the original email.

Bummer...

That's strange because I know I've entered every day for a while now and I didn't get an email. I guess I should be glad that I didn't if it was all just a mistake, but it's kind of weird. Hmm...
 
Did you make sure that you hit the submit button on the page with refer a friends? It was a second submit button that I hadn't noticed at first.
 
I think their server was probably so backed up that it was just taking time to send all of its emails. It seems like there were new winners every day since Saturday morning.
 
Did anyone else get the email correction yet? I've been trying to click on the link to get at least the 500 miles, but so far I get either "server not found" errors or I get another message telling me that I need some sort of tag to get into the site.
 
I haven't replyed to the first one either. Maybe that means I was the actual winner (lol).

I hope they figure it out soon! I guess 500 is better than nothing. Come to think of it...500 would be great if it were in my husbands account...that is what he needs to cash out a ticket.

It takes over 10 minutes to load (with a high speed cable modem no less - I don't know what a phone line would take). I then filled in everything, clicked submit - nothing happened. Clicked submit a few more times and still nothing. I will try again later.
