I dont know what I won as I just recieved the letter this morning..
I can tell you it means a lot to me, as I stopped working on all rewards program since May 28 as that was the day I loss my dog..
after being resure by her Vet that she would be okay, and she just needed to spent a few days with them.. I never dream in less than 24 hours my 4 lbs , 5year old dog would die.. and this is my first loss of a pet and I havent been able to do any thing..

I have two other dogs one almost 17 years and 12 year old.. but losing the youngest was hard for me to under stand..
others my see me as silly.. but this dog was family to me..
its been the hardest thing in life to deal with so far. I know hurt is apart of life.. but being human make it the other person.. you never dream of things as happening to you..

The only thing I have been able to do is read the disney pages trying to see life and happiest.. as when you read a little bit about some one trip .. makes you happy .. so I have been really enjoy reading these pages these last few weeks..
trying to deal with the loss of my first pet.. which most people learn when they are young.. I never had a pet as a child..

but with this win no matter what I get.. doesnt seem to matter.. as its a messages... Life goes on...

every turn in the road has bad and good.. maybe mine is going to be good...

Thanks Kris, Disney reward and Disney Board..

Veraletta-I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your little dog. Losing a furry family member is so very hard and it certainly isn't something that you bounce back from right away. I'm glad that you shared your story with us and that reading the posts on the DIS board has cheered you up a little.

Congratulations on your win from the Kris' disney reward site. It's terrific that some of our own from the Rewards Board are among the lucky winners. As you said, maybe your luck is changing.

Debbie

Thanks Debbie for the kind words.. I know that people out there that loss a pet will understand how I feel..

The Disney Board has been the only thing that I feel like doing.. I always enjoyed reading about disney .. trips .. kids.. happest.. they should call them the Happy boards.. as most people write nice and happy things that happen to them..

These boards really help when people are down.. more so.. than if I read a board about lossing a pet.. because I would relive it over and over.. I'm trying to get pass the loss.. and reading about life out there... helps..

when I feeling like crying.. I just come and read about disney trips... people trying to get rooms.. just about every thing..

gets my mind of the hurt.. I even find my self laughing..
but the disney board is really mostly about happest..
its people life experiences of happy times that most people write about on the boards..

or about having another great time at disney.. really is a good board.. brings you up... even if your down..

once again.. thanks debbie.. makes me happy to know someone understand me... about my loss.. Thanks..

I'm glad things are looking up for you! Our pets are just like family members here. We love them, feed them, protect them, how can anyone not think that they are part of the family? We have lost several of our pets and it is heartbreaking each and everytime!

So sorry to hear of the loss of your furry friend. Two years ago we lost our dog. She was like our first born LOL! We got her when we first got married and she seemed to have been with us our whole life. I agree it is devastating! I had to take a week off of work (thank god I had a boss who loved animals as much). I received a card from the vet after that reads "May the pawprints left on your heart, remain forever" I found this to help us and hope it helps you! So glad to hear that you won!!!!

We now have 2 beautiful beagles!

Veraletta:

I'm sorry for the loss of your dog :(. I lost my cat of 16 years a couple of years ago at the vet's. I left her there while we were on vacation and I came back to find my kitty had died without me there. It took me months to get over her death and I still have her ashes. I will finally sprinkle them in my new garden and it will be Shieva's garden.

So sorry to hear about the loss of your pet. They certainly become part of the family & it is a grieving process when they are gone. Glad to hear that the Disney boards are helping you feel a bit better.

Congratulations on your win. I received a "winner" email too, just waiting to hear what I won & am thrilled to even win one D$-lol!

Congrats on your win. Hope it's something good.

Also, I understand what you are going through with the loss of your dog. It's never easy to lose a loved pet. I'm glad that you shared your loss with us. It always seems to help me to talk about it, it helps to know you're not alone in how you feel. Hang in there. :)

Dear Veraletta
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. The loss of a beloved pet is a very painful and traumatic experience. Pets, to animal lovers anyway, are like "our children" so dear they are to our hearts. I keep this story/poem to read and give others upon the loss of their "furry baby". Please accept my sincere sympathy.

Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

So sorry to hear that you lost your young dog. We lost our beloved 12 1/2 year old golden retreiver this winter and I was in no way prepared for just how much it could possibly hurt. I vowed I would never have another pet as I couldn't go through that again, but a very wise friend pointed out that our "golden" boy gave us many, many years of pleasure which far outweighed the hurt that we experienced. She was so right!!! We are expecting our new "boy" in five weeks time....will not be the same, but we know we have lots of love to give him!!!

P.S.....congratulations on the Disney win!!!!

I just wanted to thank all of you for the kind words.. I know that it will take me a long time to get pass this.. as I've never cried so much, as I have this june..
It helps in knowing that their are others out there that understand what I'm going thru..

I really loved and enjoy the poems...
and all the letters...
seems like a lonley time when you lose a pet... this being my first lose of a pet... I've been lucky in life.. only lost my dad and it was 10 years ago.. so loseing loved one is new to me...

figment27 I cried when I read your poem... as dreaming about meeting my pet again is the thing I want most..
she was my little baby girl... and I miss her more and more each day that passes..
I break down and cry every time I think about her.. or pass her place on the couch... there is a big void in my heart...I dont know how people get thru loseing a love one ... child... spouse... pet..parents..

I do it one day at a time.. But I'm thankful for the people here on the disney board and disney rewards..
they are very careing people.. and are willing to share info... and time ...

thanks to all of you...and god bless...

Dear Veraletta,
I had to post when I read your story. I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved pet. It is always amazing how these little guys creep into your heart. The hardest part is knowing they are with us for such a short time. During these difficult days remember the joy that she brought you and the love you gave her and she returned to you.

I too was unprepared for the loss of my first pet. It was very difficult to say goodbye and to handle being home without him. Although it is too soon, consider adding to your family. My DH and I did end up getting another dog and it helps the grief by giving your love to someone else.

Since we have been married, (18 yrs) we have lost 2 cats and 2 dogs. It does not get easier. But I try to remember the joy they brought to us and that they had great lives! All of our beloved pets have been cremated and are buried under a special lilac tree, purchased when we lost our first dog. Every spring, when the lilacs are so beautiful, I think of them and the circle of life. (See, Disney does teach us everything!)

Sorry so long. Congratulations on your Disney Award and I wish you peace.
