I witnessed this car chase!

Heading home from work today. Traffic is always wretched on this stretch of highway, so I didn't think much of the slow down. Up ahead I saw police lights, figured there'd been an accident. Then I saw this pickup truck driving on the grassy median... and then he starts driving east in the grass! (I was headed west.) He passed me , and then about 11 cop cars come after him, 2 of them in the grass, too. There was a concrete barrier between the highway and the median, so I was glad I didn't have to worry about getting caught up in that mess. The guy crashed the truck about 1/4 mile behind me. That's about all the excitement I want in my life for awhile!

I heard about that on the radio. I'm glad that you're OK.

Thanks. It wasn't until I was watching the news a little while ago that I found out he had a gun that he had pointed at the cops. With the concrete barrier where it was I knew I wasn't going to get hit, but he was maybe 15-20 feet away when he passed me! I could see the driver, saw him look back to see where the police were.

Definitely close to home!
