I will probably need points

I'm a new DVC member (almost). I passed ROFR for points at BLT and will be closing at the end of May. I plan to make my first trip to WDW as a DVC member next summer. My plan is to bank the remainder of the 2010 points and borrow the 2012 points for use in 2011. With all this I'll still be about 50 points short of what I'll need. I know I can buy points from Disney for $15 per point but can I also buy/rent/transfer points from another DVC member to add to my total. I don't understand how this works. Any help will be appreciated.

You will only be able to purchase up to 24 points for one-time use from DVC so you would still be a few points short. Your best bet would be to try to find a transfer of the 50 points you'll need. You can post a "Transfer Wanted" thread on the Rent/Trade Board.
