I would need to put in a PIN for eachWouldn’t online checkin prevent almost all issues? There’s typically no need to even go to the front desk unless the magic bands or phone don’t work.
AFAIK, you only need a pin to charge to the room. Don't see why your friends would need one to check in.I would need to put in a PIN for each
Friend.
See? This is where my question always comes in. If online check-in is all that matters and if my room is "paid for" in points, why should it matter if i ever show up, much less day 2 or 3 of a, say, 7 day trip? Yet we all know that if someone doesn't open that room door on day one, it is subject to be taken away without any notice as if you're never coming. That is ridiculous. Especially if they're not refunding the money (points). I don't see how they have any right to do anything with that room until the expiration of the rental. To the OP's point, it shouldn't matter if nobody gets there until the second day.
Y'all are talking about it's all good so long as somebody 18+ "checks in" on day one. There is no check-in if you do online check-in. You just go to the room!
Now tell me why I'm wrong.
They can set their PIN on their own from MDX ahead of time.I would need to put in a PIN for each
Friend.
One friend is not computer savvy enough to have a pin, she does not have a MDE account. The others are ok on that score. However, it did not seem that I could put something in for her. They can set their PIN on their own from MDX ahead of time.
I wanted my friends to have an extra day without me, so someone was always going to be there if I was able to be on the cruise.Because the rules state that if someone is not checking on time they should notify or it could be deemed a no show?
Of course, as long as someone checks in that day..access the room…not an issue.
Since It requires a simply email or chat or call to note, not seeing it’s a really big deal.
Of course. Some feel it is silly and it may be, but that’s a different issue.

When I tried to check in on line…the hotel charges area would not get past the page where a pin is needed. It indicated OK for everyone except my one friend who does not have a MDE account. My other friends have all been with me before. This is first time for Barbara.

I think if you do the online check in on a the Disney website (not app) it will allow you to create a pin for them. I had to do this for my son’s GF who is coming on a trip with us.It just does not let me get beyond the “pin” section. Mine is definitely on file. I don’t understand how others here don’t need a pin for everyone!
