You're in for it now! That's how many of us got hooked. It's a great hobby but oh how it can take over your life...! The one good thing about an SB addiction is that when you get the itch, you can walk into your LSS, buy a couple of sheets of paper and some stickers for $3 and at least quell your desire for a little while. The trouble is that you can get that itch a few times a week!
Mamu - my DD (now 9) and I build a gingerbread "village" every year. We got the idea from Family Fun a few years back. We had skiiers, penguins, snowmen, polar bears, and an ice skating rink. (Yes, we tend to go a little overboard.) We have a wonderful time doing it! In years past, I too have baked the houses. But last year my local bakery put together some basic structures and I bought them instead. I felt like a cheat but it saved so much time. On Saturday, we are going to a fancy hotel in Boston where the chef is doing gingerbread house demonstrations - we hope to get some tips from an expert.
