We have a bungalow type house with 2 bdrms down (dd 7 and 10 share a room). DH and I want to move upstairs and give Morgan (10) our room.
The upstairs, is more or less, packed with "crap" from the time DD 10 was born. I have clothes including newborn onsies, socks, shoes etc....as well as every toy they ever had....as well as their swing, bouncy seats, car seats, bibs, bottles, anything you could think of!!!!
Also, all my maternity clothes as well as all my bridesmaids dresses I had in my friends weddings from 10+ years ago.
I was in "a mood" to "toss" today...so I took advantage of it. DH and I went upstairs and heave-hoed about 30 bags of garbage and 20 bags to good will!!!! I feel really good about it.
The past few days I was watching Clean-Sweep on TLC and think that it really got me motivated. I really didn't want to stop after 3 hours cause I think I will get into my other mode...that wants to save EVERYTHING!!!!!
I am kinda excited to start again tomorrow to finish the task.....
Just thought I would share
BTW.....some of the baby clothes bagged for goodwill are a little stained (I threw out the BAD ones)........do you know if they will still keep them???? They were to the point, you had to hold them at different angles in the light to see the "spit up" stains......

. If Goodwill can't sell the clothes as is they are able to sell them in bulk to other vendors who will use them for things (not sure what those would be).
My SO walked in in the middle of my decision making of what stays and what goes and asked me if this meant that I needed to pack a bag so he could take me to the hospital (meaning I was "nesting", I never nested with either of my kids).
I was so tempted to russle up one of my old positive pregnancy tests I've saved from my kids for that remark.
Especially if you've been under any stress.
