I was thinking about San Diego.....

I have an old friend that lives in San Diego and got it in my head that maybe I'd visit her with DD before the summer was up. Maybe hit Disney Land a few days, Lego Land, the zoo. But Great googily moogily!!!!!! It seems the average is about 7 hours, either connecting in another city or having a stopover! I'm not sure I could handle that long of a flight. Still doing research, I'm wondering if 10 hours of traveling with satellite TV would be better than 7 hours of nothing

I'm not sure where your city is in Florida, but if it's close to Orlando, United has a direct flight to LA that's about 4 1/2 to 5 hours. However, even if you do that, you're looking at about a 1 1/2 hour drive to San Diego from LA, so you're back to about 7 hours!

Living in Hawaii, it takes at least 5 hours for me to get anywhere, so I'm used to it! San Diego is great though, I'd do it.
