On Tuesday I worked a 2:30pm-7:30PM shift. I got home around 8:30pm. I was scheduled to work 5am-1:30pm Wednesday. It takes me 45 minutes to get to work, so I leave my house at 4:15am for a 5am shift. I get up at 3:30am.
Tuesday night I should have gone right to bed after getting home, but noooooo, I had to stay up and watch Lost. It was 10:30pm when I was finally in bed. Alarm went off at 3:30am.
I didn't really "feel" it until I ate my lunch. You know when you finally slow down, you realize how tired you are. After my lunch break, I only had 30 minutes and then I could leave. I was telling my co-workers how my pillows were calling me home. I was so looking forward to a nap before the kids got home from school.
I am 5 minutes from my house, when DH calls and tells me him mother want to come over with my SIL and her kids. Ummmm, ok I guess. But, my house is a mess. So I come home and immediately start cleaning. DS got home from school and I put him to work, much to his dismay. MIL and SIL show up around 3PM...which was fine, I am still thinking I'll give them a cup of tea and they'll be off. DS asked to bake brownies, so they were waiting for them to come out of the oven.
It was 6:30pm when they left. UGH. I usually don't mind having guests, but I was so tired. I felt bad because when I talk a lot and I'm tired, I yawn. So every other word was followed by a yawn.
Ever have someone invite themselves over at an inconvenient time?

She is also notorious of completely ignoring anyone else's schedule when it comes to her own. If we told her to have DD home by a certain time we always have to call after the 30 minute late mark to see where they are at - this also ended after several blowups.
