I was more disappointed that Jaws was closed than I expected.

It wasn't just that the ride itself was closed, but I really love how that whole corner has an Amity seaside theme with the boardwalk games, icecream, seafood, etc. and I found myself feeling annoyed walking through there thinking, why should they try to make money off of us with all this other stuff without the ride?

The stupid thing was that I really wanted icecream, but I refused to get some because it isn't the same if you can't enjoy it while waiting in line for
"a nice little boat ride" as we always joke to ds, and to contradict myself, I would have bought a Jaws beach towel for dh if they had been for sale, LOL.

We'll never get down there during peak times. I wish they'd change their minds. Do you think there's any chance?

I know how you feel. I remember reading somewhere that it is going to open next year for the WHOLE year. I don't know if it is true, but i think universal announced it. Hope that helps.

My Fiancee and I will be staying at Universal for our Honeymoon in December and i'm gutted that Jaws isn't going to be open. Is there anyway we can set up an online petition to ensure they re-open the ride all the time once the refurbishent has finished????

I was really upset that it was closed. This was the second year that we had been and it was shut for maintenance! My partner hasnever been on it, i was so disappointed!

Universal said it is on seasonal maintenance, it opens on peak season's like thanksgiving and christmas.

We like Jaws too, fortunatley it has always been open when we have been there.

I'm so bummed. We've never seen it, and are making our first Universal trip the beginning of December (2-10). My son LOVES the movie "Jaws," and has practically memorized the whole movie. He would have been so excited to do the ride at Universal...

Maybe it will be open when you go Laura. It is supposed to open "around" the 10th which might be when you are there.
