I was given a 2008 rate

So I called CRO yesterday to make our February 2008 room only reservation. I had fully expected to be charged the 2007 rate, and then charged the difference later when the 2008 rates became available. Imagine my surprise when the CM gave me a 2008 rate! I made sure to clarify it was, in fact, a 2008 rate - and it did match our estimated 2008 rate based on a 7% increase over 2007 rates. I just had no idea the 2008 rates were out - did I miss something?

Just thought I'd share the info in case anyone was interested. Here's to 2008!

As long as people continue to book at those prices without flimching, they will continue to raise prices. This will happen until they see a dip in occupancy and guest polls tell them they've hit the wall. DH and I have decided that the WDW deluxes are no longer worth what they are charging, and will only be using our DVC points for WDW stays moving forward. Our opinion, YMMV.

It is certainly getting to the point where an average middle class citizen is getting priced out of anything decent. The Deluxes are nice, but still don't really compare with comparibly priced hotels at other worldly destinations.

Even the Values seem incredibly high priced (most times of the year) for the accomodations they offer.

I guess I was really just hoping someone might clarify that 2008 rates ARE, IN FACT, OUT. I thought these rates weren't available until much later in the year - they certainly aren't listed on the website.

Anyone else out there get quoted a 2008 rate?

What dates in February did you book?
If you booked in peak season but last year the start date fell into value season that may be the difference you are seeing as 2008 prices are not yet available
