I was attacked by a spider!

I live in north west Arkansas, and I am from North of Dallas.....SO I know all about spiders!!!!!!

SPeaking of things crawling in your ear......Right before Christmas I had the boxes still in the hallway from all the decorations. That night my husband and I went to sleep........4:30 a.m., my husband wakes up SCREAMING!!!! I woke up not knowing what was going on. He told me that there was a moth in his ear and he could hear it fluttering. I looked in his ear and could not see anything....he wouldn't let me get the tweezers or pour poroxide in it.....then he started running up and down our hallway...BANGING his head and SCREAMING at the top of his lungs. He managed to put his feet in his shoes and put a robe around him yelling at me to take him to the hospital. I didn't even get my undergarments on, and thew on a a pair of pants.....he was already in the car. Anyway, we get to the hospital and the doctor was about 90 years old and had very shakey hands and pulled the little sucker out!!!! Come to find out.....It wasn't a moth it was a ROACH, from those boxes! That thing was about as big around as your little finger and about 1 in long! My husband says that if you ever want to torchure someone.....put a roach in their ear! They can not go backwards, only forwards and then they try to eat their way through! I was laughing at him the whole time.....but, now I hope it never happens to me!!!!
why did i read that WHY! Now ill have to wear ear plugs to bed to make sure nothing gets in there omg im not going to be able to sleep now oh dead lord why did i have to read this thread can you see im freaking out i have a insectphobia i do not like any insects well maybe butterflies but there crawly legs Agh! HAPPY THOUGHTS HAPPY THOUGHTS.....

Hoo. Bad thread to read if you are afraid of spiders. We just had an invasion of wolf spiders- about 2" in diameter including legs, a week and a half ago- captured and tossed 8 or more one night and 5 the next. I don't like to kill spiders, but this was too much, and we had an exterminator come in.

did it look like this?

It's a desert land spider, I think :teeth:

Do NOT take her warning lightly! These spiders have spread to the south! I was attacked! This one was on the car's side mirror. No telling how long it had been there. So I was getting in the car and this thing FLIES at me. It was bloodthirsty, I could tell by the glint in its 8 beady eyes. This thing was out to kill me! So I jump backwards (instinct? reflex? out and out fear?) well the beast missed me by milimeters. I slid in the car and slammed the door shut before it could take its second shot. I was THAT close to being killed IN MY OWN FRONT YARD!! These things have no morals, they have no standards. They are out to kill, and do so without remorse. take these warnings to heart! You don't want to be NEXT!

:rotfl: Now this only happens if your Naked? :rotfl2: :rotfl:
Actually, that was more for the attention of the male audience than anything. Just goes to show they attack when you're most vulnerable!

I was getting ready for work this morning, standing in front of the mirror and happily applying lotion. I was also naked.

That's all I got out of this.

I have a worse one...last week this spider (wolf spider, 1.5 inches) actually crawled in my hair and when I pulled the eek-something's-in-my-hair thing, it ran ACROSS my FACE and stepped IN MY EYE!!! :earseek: My DH stunned it with the remote after I'd finally knocked it off and we sucked it up in the vacuum cleaner.

I hope you have recovered from your spider attack...maybe we need a support group?? :rotfl2:

:scared1:  :scared: :faint:

Ick! I am terrified of spiders - this story is giving me chills! :earseek:

I read somewhere once, that a person, in his or her lifetime, will actually swallow about 7 or so spiders while they are sleeping.....you're sleeping.....they crawl in while your mouth is open and reflex makes you chew and swallow. :guilty:
