I volunteer for our zoo here by doing photography among other things. I basically let them use the pictures for whatever they would like and it doesn't always make sense to give photo credit (like if you are cropping it for a logo) so I'm not very particular about it with the zoo.
A local mine here that is owned by a Russian company donated our new grizzly exhibit and I took a ton of photos of the opening and at the request of the director, burned them a cd of all the photos with my name as the photographer written on the label. We thought there were just going to show it as an internal hey look what we did.
I found out tonight that they made a cheesy dvd out of the pictures (and video footage of our staff and board of directors translated into Russian and English). I haven't even watched the dvd yet but they took some of my pictures for the art on the jacket and made it unintentionally hilarious.
And yes, they sent hundreds of the dvd back home to the head company in Russia. I have no photo credit that I've seen so far, but just think my name and photos could have been passed all over Russia.
I'll post the original photos and the dvd cover on this thread once I scan it in. I'd be offended that they didn't credit me but it's really just too funny. One of the pics of the bear on the cover isn't my picture and actually isn't even our bear.
