I was able to cancel & unborrow my points

Hi DVC friends! My husband & I had a 2-night trip booked for next week using 14 2020 points & 60 2021 points. We're a September use year, so those points would've expired at the end of August. We made the decision to cancel our trip & I fully expected to lose all 74 points. I called member services to inquire if I had any options & they were able to restore my 2021 points to my account. We do lose the 14 2020 points, but oh well. I'm just so happy to have my 2021 points back!
We're a resale contract & I only mention that because sometimes I wonder if blue card members get better service

If you're canceling an upcoming trip & will lose points, definitely call! Be very nice & friendly to the CM who answers & maybe they'll be able to help you too!
