OK now what's your dream? What is something you have always wanted to do but it seems too huge a task?

I have had a dream about opening my own childrens museum for years. I live in an area with not much to do with your kids. Even a Chuck E Cheese party is over an hour away! I want a childrens museum where classes can come visit, maybe a summer program, or even just a mom and her kiddos. My son loves museums. We love Hands on House in Lancaster pa but my museum will be more "explore and more" (gettysburg pa) which is my sons ultimate fav place to go in the world. I even started a "wish book/business plan" for my museum. lol
After this last year (a divorce, going back to work after a few years of being a stay at home mom, etc) I feel like some day maybe I could really do it. Just maybe.....someday...

So whats your dream?

I would love to own and operate a family restaurant.

Children's Museum is ONE of mine too. I have a lot though.

I would love to open a small soup cafe.

I would love to sell everything we own and buy a boat we could live on and homeschool our kids while sailing around the world ~ actually experiencing everything.

Those are just a few. A girl can dream right?

Seriously..I would love to be an archeologist lol. I planned to do it when I was younger (pre-children) but well..life happened. Now I can't do it because I have the three girls and can't leave them behind or take them lol..maybe in 18 yrs when Peanut is in college I can do it though I will be 48 by then lol..until then I hope to take classes as I can find time to in prep. It just seems like I will never get to do it or something will "come up" you know?

I want to open my own bakery and make accommodations for people with dietary restrictions (specifically food allergies). It is so hard for my daughter to watch her friends have "real" birthday cakes from the bakery. Mind you, I make some snazzy looking cakes, but it isn't the same when you're a little kid. My guess is that plenty of other kids like her feel the same way.

Is it sad to say that I really can't think of anything? :sad1:

I'd like to travel for a career. Like the undercover people for Foders or Birnbaums do. :thumbsup2

One thing I have always wanted to do was design my own house exactly the way I want it from the ground up. It wouldn't need to be extravagant either, I just want a compilation of great things I've noticed from other peoples' houses, with my own twist on it.

And one thing it MUST include is his and hers personal toilet rooms. Boys are GROSS!

I also think it would be really neat to have a career that holds monthly meetings at WDW.

I would love to buy and re-open my old summer camp. :thumbsup2

I went to this camp for ten years, and I can honestly say it was the most profoundly positive experience of my entire life. It truly shaped me. However, even though the camp was doing well and was quite profitable/successful it was closed in 2003. The company which owned the land we sat on decided that having an all girl camp on its' property was too much of a liability. At the time we tried to save it (raised 1.5 million in 3 months!) but we were unsuccessful.

I would love to buy the camp and reopen it in order to continue the traditions and positive experiences it provided. I don't think I would run it myself as I know little about business, but I would turn it over to a few alumni I know who would be great for the job. Though I, of course, would love to remain heavily involved in the camp! :lovestruc

I'd love to own a bakery. I love to bake and decorate cakes. I do that as a hobby and make my children's b-day cakes complete with tiers and fondant (yeah I tend to go a little overboard, but it's my hobby).

Even when I bake cupcakes I decorate them fancy with icing and stuff.

I also want to build an In-N-Out Burger in Oregon but
a) I don't have the money
b) They wouldn't let me

But, if the above wasn't true then I would make a fortune! Especially with a lot of the people who live here are from California, A LOT!

I've always wanted to own a small group of cottages on a beach in Florida, possibly somewhere in the Keys. The property would be somewhat secluded. There would be grassy areas, bike trails, a pool and of course you'd be steps from a beautiful sandy beach. All of the cottages would be decorated in a nautical/tropical theme. My husband and I would live in a small house that was on the property. The house would reflect a similar tropical theme, and there would be plenty of room for when our kids and grandkids visited. I have it all worked out in my head.:rotfl:

The other thing that I've always wanted to do is to rent an RV and spend a year traveling around the country. Close up (or sell) the house and hit the road. I really think I could talk my husband into such an adventure. I've been reading a lot of books lately written by people that have actually done this. I can honestly see this happening. I just need to do more research. Maybe...in a year or two...:) It certainly would be more likely to happen than my beach cottages idea!

I want to open my own theme park. I have everything down on paper. Now I just need to find an investor with $500 million dollars!

With all the $$ I needed, I would start a school that was beautiful with a teacher-student ration of 1:7 for children in a high-poverty area. The environment would be amazing, the teachers highly-skilled, the materials plentiful and high-quality, the food nutritious and delicious! Then I would set up a Family Center that had a similar atmosphere that was part of the school.
