I want to go to NYC help me plan!

I want to take DBF to NYC for a weekend in the spring- possibly April.

He's never been, I've been and done most of the touristy attractions- radio city, central park, empire states building etc. etc.

I want to stay midtown- but WHERE?

I would like to take in a show- possibly blue man group if I can find tickets- but what else?

We'll be there friday afternoon till sunday evening

this has sorta gotta be a budget trip too...not a $300 a night hotel by any means!
