I want to cry....

We have a September reservation in a 2br unit at Beach Club and probably can't go.

We are restoring an old house. All new electrical, plumbing, HVAC, addition, 3 stall garage. We have a construction loan, but are paying for things out of pocket as well. We won't be done before September, so are probably cancelling our trip.

Life happens and we have to make choices. You already have a trip paid for, go enjoy it!

Hi Arthur, let me know if you decide to cancel your reservation. Thinking about a Sept trip if the price is right. Thanks!

I had everyone over today to look at all the repairs, and I received good news. My foundation will be a minimal repair and my AC just got something jammed in the fan so it was just a house call. My Disney Vacation is on and I should be just fine on the finances too.

Thanks for all the encouraging words!!!

Sometimes life throws you a little pixiedust:!

I'm the same way though - the AC won't turn on. Oh noes! :guilty: It will cost thousands of dollars to fix! :scared1: Cancel everything! Start living a life of poverty! Sell the cats!

Repairman shows up. . . 25 cents worth of pipe dope, a little coolant, and a service charge later, he tells us we're fine!

I'm glad it all worked out!

This happened to us several years ago. Our A/C was acting up and we ended up replacing our downstairs unit. I remember when dh told me we had to get a new one my first thought was, "can we still go to Disney?" We did and had a great time but I was worried too! Here's some pixie dust for you pixiedust:. I hope it all works out!

Hurray for the "much less worse than expected" outcome.

I usually get those because I just directly to the worst possible scenario:rotfl:

And Disney is the place to relax and forget the real world for a while.

Have Fun!

:cool1: Woo Hoo! Vaca here you come!
Like pp said I am also a worst case scenario gal, and then am sometimes happily surprised. My DH's ringtone for me is worry, worry, worry! :rotfl:

Some of my favorite Disney trips have been when we were strapped for cash. We have shared meals and popcorn and just enjoyed being there. Bring some snacks or breakfast bars from the dollar store, and look at the menus and figure out in advance where to eat and save some $$ that way. Hopefully it works out :-)

Hey, that's great news! I'm glad that you got people over to look at things before you went on vacation. Now you can relax at Disney knowing that your problems at home aren't going to break the bank!

Glad things were not so bad!!:cheer2: Enjoy your vacation! I wish we were going this summer!!
