for several christmas's ds (then around age 5'ish) insisted he 'needed' a kraft matic adjustable bed he would whine 'but mommy i don't want to get edema or swelling in my legs'

I guess I should count my lucky stars that the only channels DD7 watch are the Food Network and Disney. Although she think it would be really neat to spend Christmas at WDW. A TRU shopping spree would be cheaper .

I only had to tell DS5, "I'm already done shopping for Christmas," a couple times and he got the hint.

I've also taken to throwing any cataloges straight in the trash instead of letting DS get his hands on them.

My dd9 gets it, but my dd4 is asking for EVERTYHING!!!!! The one it is really driving crazy is her sister. We took them to Target so dd9 could shop for her gift for dd4 and she was trying to ask dd4 what she wanted. Needless to say she wanted everything. Even the things that she had no idea in the world what it was!!!! Dd9 thought she was being soooooo selfish. When I explained to her that it is normal for a 4 year old to want everything she understood the humor of it, but until I did that she was disgusted!

On the bright side........ I haven't had to pay attention so much to what she is asking for! Whatever I got her I am sure that she asked for it at some point in time.
