But I don't live in S. Cali or anywhere in CA. I don't go on weekends/Holiday's/Summertime, any way I can get one?

i'm assuming you mean a socal resident ticket and not the citypass?

there's one way.. a couple of steps... first step would be to move to socal and the second step would be to buy one.

the citypass you can get online, best price is from costco.com

Yes the So. Cal resident pass.

Moving ~ ha, no way I could afford to live there (I don't see how most people can)

Albort ~ my cousin lives in Irvine! How do we go about doing that ~ why couldn't I just buy 1 online?

You need to get a So Cal ID to purchase, you figure the rest out. We also don't go on weekends or during crowded days, etc. BUT for economic reasons and the stays we do, Deluxe works best for us living here in Colorado.

its probably better for your cousin to go buy it, they would see your cousin's ID when purchasing it but after that, you dont need to get your ID checked.

Im not sure how online ticket works but they would probably check your ID at one time or another.

you have to be a resident to buy one & when they process your pass you have to show ID. So you'll have to have some sort of ID for the appropriate zip codes. My sister tried to get one for us (she lives in Fullerton) but it wouldn't work.

They check your ID when you go to the Bank to verify your AP. I ordered mine online and didn't have to prove anything until I verified it my first day of visit. Don't think it would work for your cousin to do it...

My mom tried this when i tried to buy one for her. It won't work. You have to actually have an ID that has a socal address when you go in to process your pass.

When we got our AP's in July we had to show ID when we purchased them, we were not eligible for the SoCal AP because we were not in the correct zip code. When we took our papers to the bank to process the passes we had to show our ID's along with the paperwork so I don't think it will work having your cousin buy it for you. You have to prove you are a So Cal resident.

How 'bout I have my cell phone bill go to my cousins address (for a couple months) and use my debit card (which has my picture along with my 2 kids on it)as picture id?

I also have a question..

What if you are military with an ID from the state you originated from but live in so cal? How would you go about getting one then?

DisneyMomma, you MUST have a valid So Cal ID with the correct ZIP code. I asked the lady at the ticket booth when we were upgrading our passes....she said if your ID does not have the correct info on it they will refuse to sell to you. A bill will not work, I asked her that also. Not because I was trying to cheat the system but because I was genuinely curious as to how they confirm you are a So Cal resident.

In the military? I have no idea......maybe you could show your military ID, some mail sent to your San Diego addy and that would work? But I really have no clue. Sorry.

I have a military ID (expired earlier this year)
edited *** my military ID does not have an address on it ~ nothing that has anything to do with a state.

*** editing again
Military ~ I see your DL/ID is still from the state you're from but you're stationed in So. CA

You would probably need a valid military ID and you would still need proof you live in So Cal. I know a military ID doesn't have your address on it and I know you keep the ID from the state you are considered a resident of. I've got military experience, it's actually how I came to live in the wonderful state of CA.

Honestly, as a military person you are considered a resident of the state you are originally from....ie, I lived in OR and my ex-dh was Air Force, we were stationed in Nor Cal and we were not considered residents of CA, we were considered residents of OR so I don't even know if getting a So Cal pass is doable to a military person. Does that make sense? They do this pass as a way for So Cal residents to visit the parks more often, it's a perk for them. When we upgraded to our AP's we did the deluxe (now I wish we had done Premium for the adults and Deluxe for the kids) and it was well worth it IMO. We have been back to the parks 4 times since our July trip...and it would be more but we were already had plans in August and September! LOL We are going back twice in January, figuring out Feb, March and April visits too. It's well worth it to not be blacked out as much....at least for us it is.
