Hopefully, I don't have some of the problems I've been reading about. I signed up through MyPoints. The yearly fee is $79.95 thorugh MyPoints but you get 200 points and a $25.00 gas card. The one month trial memebership is $1.00 provided you cancel within 30 days.

Questions --
*how much is the shipping charge? I couldn't find one listed.

*when you get the vouchers do they list all the restaurants they are good at? The site listed a few and then said "and many more". That's not real helpful in trying to determine how many to order.

*do the vouchers actually say tax and gratuity are included?

Thanks for your help!!

Here is a partial copy of the Quick and Casual Voucher:

Yes, it does say all taxes and gratuities included right on the voucher. And all the restaurants are listed on the back. And I believe they always ship for free... it just depends on the amount of your order as to how quickly it will get to you.

I have ordered several times (always vouchers $50 or more) and they have come via USPS 2 day mail. Just note that any orders of $50 or more will need to be sent to an address where a signature for delivery can be obtained.

PS I have read on these boards of quite a few people getting double charged, etc. - I never had that problem but I did get charged $99.95 for my membership (should have been $79.95) - so just keep on the look out!

What are the expiration dates of vouchers being purchased now? Are they later than May 31, 2003? :):D:)

...that the date is stil May 31, 2003. I placed an order last night and if it's any different on those I'll post the new date. I was hoping that the date would be farther out since I'm hoping to go again in June and wanted to order during the free trial membership.

:D

Last year the dates on the vouchers did not change until well into the month of March--and that was just the Q&C's, the Breakfast and Feature Lunch didn't switch until middle of May (I had to send them all back and waited several weeks before the "new" ones were available).

Do you have to be an active Connections member to use the vouchers at Disney? I looked over the other certificates and gift cards available and there aren't enough offered in my area to make the $79.95 yearly fee worth it so I plan to cancel before my 30 days are up. I'd feel sick if I ordered vouchers for my December trip and then couldn't use them.

Thank-you!!

You just have to be active when you buy the vouchers. You can cancel before your trip to WDW.

Please note that the "tax and gratuities" is a little misleading! Most of these vouchers (the quick-and-casual ones) are good only for "counter service" restaurants, thus you don' t leave a tip anyway!

We joined for the discounts on park admissions, which have more than paid for the $80 fee. Twelve 5-day park hoppers make it worth it.

Unlike some others, we were not double charged for our purchases (the 5DPHP's nor the 4 B&N gift cards).

My follow-up question on this topic: Is the Princess CB in Norway included in the CB voucher? With 12 of us, it would be worth the effort and cost to buy now.

jmminarik,
What is the cost thru connections for a 5 day hopper? Is there a list on their site that tells you the prices of things so you can determine if it is worth it for you to join? Thanks!:teeth:

I don't have my account info with me, so all I know is the 5 day PHP.

Adult: 235+change
Child: 187+change (maybe 186).

This includes tax.

A tactic alot of people use is to sign up for the $1 trial, order their stuff, then cancel before the 30 days is over. I thought about doing that, but decided while legal, wasn't ethical by my standards. I'm just funny that way. Besides, I'll use the discounts on the gift cards for Holiday presents this year.

Hope this helps,
Joe

jmminarik,

We used the breakfast vouchers at the Princess breakfast in Norway earlier this month. It was a good savings for 2 adults--it will be a GREAT savings for 12!!

We also used the breakfast vouchers at Cinderella's.

Thanks Kacey...this is good to know. BTW, do the vouchers explicitly say the Princess CB is included? I guess I should have asked this before. ;)

Thanks,
Joe;

jmminarik,

No, they do not list the Princess breakfast on the vouchers. But they were printed before the Princess breakfast even came into being. I showed them to our waitress and she took them back to a manager to ask, came back and said they'd work!

Probably, when they print the new vouchers with a later exp date, they will have the breakfast listed.

I joined Connections with the trial offer, but after looking over what they offer, the only things I would use were these meal vouchers at Disney. I ordered and received 4 adult b-fast vouchers to use at CRT and SBP and 2 Quick and Casual vouchers for my family of 5 to use at Beaches and Cream. I didn't order vouchers for the kids, because it offers no savings. I am cancelling my memberships to both Connections and Galleria with a clear conscience. The discount of admission to WDW is useless to me as we're getting SoG rate AP's. I looked over the info, considered if it would be worthwhile for us, and have no trouble cancelling.
