I took the bus to Sea world

Thanks to all I read and researched here on the DIS boards, last year when I went to WDW by myself, I took a day to go to Sea World.

I can't say it was the ideal way to go, but it was certainly the cheap way to go by taking the bus from Downtown Disney to Sea World and back again.

We have gone to Seaworld a couple of times when at WDW and have taken a taxi both times. This year we are travelling with another couple who want to take the bus from Downtown Disney. I was wondering how long it took to get to Seaworld on the bus? Do they make a bunch of pickups and stops? I would appreciate any information you could give me.

How easy is it to get to DTD in the earlier hours of the morning? Wouldn't you want to get to Sea World close to opening? I'm just wondering why the public transportation bus system is better/more convenient while on vacation to get to distant destination than a taxi?

We've taken the Lynx bus from the TTC to SeaWorld and found it to be very easy...especially early in the day. Just hop on a bus to MK and then take either the boat or monorail over to the TTC.
Be sure to check out the Lynx schedule..it leaves twice a day, every 30 mins. But I forget the exact timing.

I got the bus at DTD. Don't do that in the morning. The Disney buses only stop at the Marketplace side early in the day, so I had to walk clear across DTD past the big Cirque tent to get to the bus stop. I was alone, and wasn't crazy about being in a fairly large parking lot by myself. Use the TTC stop.

There were a few stops along the way, and I'm guessing it took 30-45 minutes to get to Sea World. (I think the wait at the bus stop was close to 15 minutes.) They let you off on a "city" corner, and it's good hike across the Sea World parking lot.

And when you're leaving Sea World, you go back across the parking lot to wait for the bus. I accidentally got on a local trolley, so pay attention or confirm with the driver that you're on the right bus heading for DTD or TTC.

At the end of the day it worked out well because I got off at DTD and used the Planet Hollywood coupon for dinner that is part of the basic resort package.

Bottom line. . .1. I'm not sure it's the ideal if you have kids, but for adults not minding a bit of an adventure, go for it. 2. do lots of research on the bus schedule ahead of time.

I took the bus from TTC to SeaWorld in December. As a solo, it was great. I did have my own vehicle, but I figured $4.00 in bus fare was a lot less than using my gas and $12+ for parking at Sea World. I would recommend leaving from TTC if you want to get there before park opening. The 7:31 or 8:01 from the TTC will get you there in plenty of time. Buses to the Magic Kingdom start from all resorts at 6:30 am and then it is a short monorail ride to the TTC.

As folks said it is Lynx #50.

FYI, the bus does make additional stops not on the schedule. The Sea World stop is the 3rd stop after leaving I-4.

Returning from Sea World, you cross the street. The bus stop is right in front of the Renaissance Hotel.

I would recommend getting off at DTD because it is easier to get to your resort from there. Like a previous poster, I had dinner at DTD before heading back to my resort.
