I Told You Driving Was Bad For Your Health! *2/2* NEW TRIP REPORT LINK P102

How nice to meet up with so many friends again. I love Dis meets.

I think you got 2 signs too. That is such a lovely story. I am all about signs too. I think both my older kids have had angels watching over them the past few months.

Candy crush has certain levels that are designed to stump you. Once you get past that you'll fly through the next 10 or 15 and then get stuck again. I've been stuck for over a month but its soooooo addictive.

I think I am on level 125 and have been there for like 2 weeks or more. I am so disgusted that I can't get past it!

The white bird was definitely your sign!

I got the chills reading that. It is so true though. I always get a great feeling walking down Main Street and remembering my grandparents and some of the times we had there. I especially remember my grandmother on the train from our wedding trip and the smile on her face. Disney is such a great place.

My DH drinks Boddington beer at home. I didn't realize that they had it at Rose and Crown. I just made an ADR there for our March trip. I would love to sit by the water and eat the English Chicory salad. It looks so relaxing there. :)

It's a really relaxing place and combined with a Boddington's its even better! You should surprise your DH and don't tell him they serve it until you get there. :thumbsup2 Also - look for the beers and ears app for iPhone. It's got every single beer at WDW. Quite informative.

Your story about seeing the sign gave me chills. When I saw your picture of the sky, I thought this was the sign. Maybe Tracy really gave you two signs. :flower3:

IMG_2994_zps07c27ff1.jpg

I think this picture is more impressive than what I remember seeing that night. But the bird really got to me. I can still picture it flying high and I was so disappointed that it was too high and too fast to get a picture.

Wow, that looks like a great spot for a meal.

It was and for awhile we were the only ones sitting there. That made it even better! :thumbsup2

Hmm...never tried that one.

It's REALLY good! Put it on your food and drink bucket list. Definitely one of my favorites, especially on draft. Whenever I see it I order it!

I don't see how that's possible.

Exactly - It's NOT possible! That's why I was compelled to take it.

Wow--Mega DIS meet!

Definitely a good sized meet for something that impromptu. I love running into DISers that I "chat" with on a regular basis. It's so much fun!

That's quite a lot of pictures for not watching the show.:rotfl2:

I am a woman of many talents. You should know that by now! :rotfl:

It was a very poignant moment!

I did get all teary reading this. :sad1: all caught up and all your EPCOT pictures are get me pumped for Food and Wine. :cool1:

Awww - I didn't mean for that to happen. It was just a cool and memorable experience. I definitely am open to signs like that. I totally believe that spirits and the soul is a very powerful force and, under the right conditions, will communicate with people in the living world.

I may have a shot at the R & C in Oct. with Rosie and the group. Maybe it will work out.

I hope it does. And if it doesn't you may just have to sneak away to the bar for a relaxing alcoholic beverage all by yourself. I think the bar there is so cool and has such a great, lively vibe!

I should not have read your update at the office as I have tears streaming down my cheeks. :thumbsup2 Denny for finding Mary Ellen's sign. I think it was the perfect sign for Tracy. :grouphug:

You know - after that second beer at R&C and after running into you guys again at the BC I was pretty pumped up and I had forgotten all about my request for a sign. I was in my own little world when Denny saw that bird. It was really cool because I've never seen a bird like that before literally doing a dance in the sky for me.

It was so fun meeting up with you again (although you could have left the picture out of me with my big mouth open :lmao::lmao::lmao:). And thanks to the guys for taking those pictures for us. :goodvibes

Stop! I didn't even notice that. You are talking. Of course your mouth is open. We were probably ALL talking a mile a minute. That was so awesome that you guys came through the lobby at that exact time. Thank goodness for the guys to photo document our meet!

Mark had the exact same entree at Rose & Crown and absolutely loved it.

I remember that from your TR. It was really yummy! I would definitely have it again. So good! We are going back to R&C in just three weeks. Can't wait! :cool1:

Your white bird "sign" just gave me goosebumps! I am a strong believer in those signs.

Me too! I totally believe in that connection. We have this show in the states called "long Island Medium". When I first watched it I thought it had to be a bunch of nonsense, but now I totally believe in the spirit connection. I just think you have to be really open to it!

Love your R&C dinner - they really have nice food. And how nice to run into Mary and Kathy again while having a DISmeet. Doesn't get any better than that. :thumbsup2

Dinner was really lovely. It was perfect and it was great to run into Mary, Kathy, and the girls again. It was a perfect day all around!

Loving the picture of the meet! :thumbsup2 :lovestruc You, Anita, Mary, the girls and Ms. Kat all look great!! Especially all together. It made me think of the group picture when Tracy was last there. :sad1:

I really love how Denny caught Tracy's sign. He seems like a good guy with a good heart. :thumbsup2

We may well be eating at R & C in 13 days !! I have eaten there before and LOVED the food . I do wish they had Bangers and mash on the dinner menu , as that is true british food . The scotch egg is too. Lovely pix of your day, I am thinking an outside table might be very nice !!

now 12 days! :cool1:

I wanted to try the scotch egg cause it looks so good, but I decided to go the "healthy" route with the salad. Next time!

Hope you guys have a great trip and especially a great meal at R&C.

We need to try Rose & Crown again, didn't like it when we dined there. It always sounds good, but I'm still leery about going again.

Really? What did you guys order? I guess any restaurant can be hit or miss. Fortunately I have enjoyed both of my meals there and we are eating there again in October. Hoping to get an outside seat for Illuminations. I might actually try the fish and chips this time!

Our trip this time was really a stop & smell the roses trip also. Made for a more relaxing & fun trip for us, would visit a park, ride a couple of things, then leave.

I think the more you go to Disney the more the trips evolve and become more laid back. You start to realize that its more abut the "experience" than the ride count.

Your leaving Epcot back shots of Illuminations were spot on, better than a lot of sitting there photos.

Thanks. I'm glad you like them. The certainly provide a different view. I really wasn't sure why I was going to get. I did a lot of turning around and saying to myself "just one more". :rolleyes1

You have got to check out the second youtube video I posted.

How nice to meet up with so many friends again. I love Dis meets.

DIS meets are SO much fun. I have quite a few planned for my upcoming trip. I hope they all work out! Denny was a little "overwhelmed" when I told him just how many. :rolleyes1

I think you got 2 signs too. That is such a lovely story. I am all about signs too. I think both my older kids have had angels watching over them the past few months.

I think you kids definitely have proved that. Because, honestly, the same situations could have turned out so differently. Yup - I believe in angels and I believe in "signs". I think they are out there all the time and most of them we miss. You have to be really open to them.

I think I am on level 125 and have been there for like 2 weeks or more. I am so disgusted that I can't get past it!

I was stuck on level 185 for like 5 weeks. Now I am going to be stuck on 201 for probably 10 weeks. I hate that. Stupid Candy Crush! :rotfl2:

The white bird was definitely your sign!

That really was an unusual sight - not so much seeing the bird, but the way the bird was flying, almost showing off. It was definitely a cool way to end the night.

I got the chills reading that. It is so true though. I always get a great feeling walking down Main Street and remembering my grandparents and some of the times we had there. I especially remember my grandmother on the train from our wedding trip and the smile on her face. Disney is such a great place.

What a great memory. It's so wonderful that you can carry that with you through all your Disney trips. I think sometimes very vivid memories where you can actually "see" the person are their way of communicating to us.

Loving the picture of the meet! :thumbsup2 :lovestruc You, Anita, Mary, the girls and Ms. Kat all look great!! Especially all together. It made me think of the group picture when Tracy was last there. :sad1:

It was so fun to meet up with everyone. I'm glad I tracked down Anita and Marc because it was really enjoyed able to talk with them. And seeing Kathy, Mary, and the girls was the icing on the cake! :thumbsup2 Great end to the evening.

I really love how Denny caught Tracy's sign. He seems like a good guy with a good heart. :thumbsup2

He is. But I always thought he was a skeptic at heart, so I'm actually surprised he was open to seeing that bird. It must of captured his attention at just the right time. The cool thing was it happened as we were leaving. Sort of like saying, "good bye. Thanks for visiting". :thumbsup2

That update brought me to tears....for many reasons! How lucky are we that we have met such amazing people through this forum that we become so close to, the fact that you have such amazing memories of your time together at one of the most beautiful places on earth....truly magical! Love that her memory brings a smile to so many!

I feel quite certain that Tracy's spirit is in WDW and specifically World Showcase and Animal Kingdom Lodge - her two favorite places. I'm so glad she was able to give you a sign. :goodvibes

Your pictures of France reminded me of something that had struck me when I was there in July. A few years ago on one of our trips, we took this picture in France with our drinks and we both used it as our profile pics for a while.

That background painting is not there anymore. Pretty sure it was when where were there in October but when I went in July it was gone.

On a different note, I have not eaten at Rose and Crown in several years but I would really like to revisit. I remember loving the cottage pie (shepherd's pie but with beef instead of lamb) and the view is hard to beat.

So glad you had such a fun and perfect Disney day. Hurrah for DIS meets!

Looking forward to seeing you and Denny in just a few weeks! :yay:

How sweet that you were able to get a sign from Tracy. Epcot, and Disney in general, is such a magical place.

Rose and Crown sounds like a really nice restaurant. I think it gets overlooked sometimes by the more popular World Showcase restaurants. And I love that seat outside. Seems like it'd be a very relaxing spot to take in the evening.

I've definitely got to try Rose and Crown. I'd love to sit there and watch Illuminations!

Way to go Denny on catching the sign from Tracy. That just makes me smile! :goodvibes

I got chills reading this update. First that beautiful picture of the clouds, and then the lone bird, which I absolutely believe was your sign from Tracy. :cloud9:

Great that you got to meet up with some DIS friends again!

The last time we made a reservation for Rose and Crown we cancelled it too. Just can't seem to get back there.

Boddington's great choice! I love that beer too!

Doesn't beer count as dessert anyway? ;)

Nice timing on everyone coming through the lobby at that time! Mega DISmeet.

What a beautiful update! I really believe in signs and I'm so glad that you were able to get one from your friend.

I'm glad that you finally got to eat at Rose and Crown! That salad looks delicious, and very light.

You got some great shots from illuminations, especially since you were walking away while taking them. I like getting new pictures of things - different angles and perspectives are great so you don't end up with thousands of the same exact picture.

The bird story brought tears to my eyes, what a beautiful moment. Way to go for Denny being open to that :)

I'm right there with you regarding a perfect day not needing to be filled with rides. The more I go the more I just like being there, enjoying the atmosphere and food and going with the flow. I'm glad you noticed the time, it probably would have been quite a pain to get back to the car otherwise.

MEK, I had the fish & chips, but it was like frozen fish fillets, greasy, blah taste. I'm very picky with my fish, theirs looks good in ads & when I see it live, but worry it will still be bad. I really do need try R&C another time for a real result. Any restaurant can have a bad day.

How wonderful it must have been to see the pretty white bird doing the 360s and enjoying the evening in Epcot. It surely was a sign from Tracy!

As I told Kathy over on her report, we ate at Rose & Crown once several years ago and didn't care for it too much. But, we like a little pep/kick to ur food (love us some Louisiana spices) so it's probably just us.

I have got to get my family over to the Yacht & Beach Club and Boardwalk area. It looks so beautiful in pictures!

We have never been to the Rose and Crown. Your choices look great. I love Disney salads! The trout and chicken curry would be a great combo for me and my husband to order to split. I don't think I would be able to resist trying the Scotch egg, though. That has always intrigued me.

Loved your mega-DIS meet at the Beach Club for so many reasons!

We decided not to stay and watch Illuminations. It started just as we started to head to the front of the park. It was impossible not to look over my soldier for some pictures.

Isn't there a bible story about someone who couldn't resist looking over her shoulder???

And in mythology too- Orpheus and Euridice (Ben is currently rehearsing for his play "Myth Adventures" so it is all Greek to me these days)

But I'm glad you did, because those are some really interesting pictures of the fireworks!

I guess it takes a little time to organize a sign from above :goodvibes

That makes sense!

Your white bird "sign" just gave me goosebumps!

Me, too!

I have got to get my family over to the Yacht & Beach Club and Boardwalk area. It looks so beautiful in pictures!

::yes::

Mary Ellen, I'm so sorry about Max. We had to put a cat down this year, as well...it's so hard.

What a wonderful Epcot day! And everything about your bird is beautiful.

Seeing your info about the old Universe of Energy really took me back...we started visiting Epcot in '83 or '84, and I totally remember that opening movie, with the rotating cubes and the windmills! The dinosaurs totally freaked me out back then, though, I think I would spend most of that part of the ride with my eyes closed.

To be honest, the dinosaurs still freak me out a little!

That update brought me to tears....for many reasons! How lucky are we that we have met such amazing people through this forum that we become so close to, the fact that you have such amazing memories of your time together at one of the most beautiful places on earth....truly magical! Love that her memory brings a smile to so many!

I agree that we have been blessed through this forum to meet many wonderful people. I am thrilled with the friendships that I have started here and I feel like the people here are sincere and genuine.

I am a big believer in signs and it was really cool to see that bird on that evening. It was such an unusual sight.

I feel quite certain that Tracy's spirit is in WDW and specifically World Showcase and Animal Kingdom Lodge - her two favorite places. I'm so glad she was able to give you a sign. :goodvibes

I think so too! I know that being in the afterlife must be an incredible experience. I really believe that from all the accounts of people who have "come back". I believe its a place that we will never be able to comprehend until we pass there. But I do whole-heartedly believe that this world and the next cross over at different points in time, particularly if the spirit is strong.

Your pictures of France reminded me of something that had struck me when I was there in July. A few years ago on one of our trips, we took this picture in France with our drinks and we both used it as our profile pics for a while.

That background painting is not there anymore. Pretty sure it was when where were there in October but when I went in July it was gone.[/QUOTE]

I always loved that picture and loved when you guys used it for your profile picture. You're right - It's not there anymore. I wonder where it's retire too? If one picture sums up the whole Disney experience - it's definitely that one! :thumbsup2

On a different note, I have not eaten at Rose and Crown in several years but I would really like to revisit. I remember loving the cottage pie (shepherd's pie but with beef instead of lamb) and the view is hard to beat.

So true - that view is definitely hard to beat! It's really such a great restaurant in terms of theme. I am eating there again in a few weeks with Saints Tickets and his wife. I am really looking forward to a return!

So glad you had such a fun and perfect Disney day. Hurrah for DIS meets!

It really was a fun and perfect day. And it didn't have to include a lot of rides. Just being in touch with the magic was plenty!

Looking forward to seeing you and Denny in just a few weeks! :yay:

Same. Can't wait! :cool1:

How sweet that you were able to get a sign from Tracy. Epcot, and Disney in general, is such a magical place.

I really do believe that was a sign. Even if it wasn't, I want to believe it. Therefore its true. And what better place for a sign that where the magic is alive and well! :thumbsup2

Rose and Crown sounds like a really nice restaurant. I think it gets overlooked sometimes by the more popular World Showcase restaurants. And I love that seat outside. Seems like it'd be a very relaxing spot to take in the evening.

I have to agree. Le Cellier was top dog for awhile and now the new restaurants in Mexico and Italy was taking the lead. But R&C is a really great dining experience not only because of the atmosphere but because of the food!

I've definitely got to try Rose and Crown. I'd love to sit there and watch Illuminations!

I did that several years ago and it was a lovely way to watch Illuminations. I highly recommend it. It's a cool experience!

IWay to go Denny on catching the sign from Tracy. That just makes me smile! :goodvibes

I do think its pretty cool that Denny found that bird. I never would have seen it. I was spending too much time just looking straight ahead and never up towards the sky!

I got chills reading this update. First that beautiful picture of the clouds, and then the lone bird, which I absolutely believe was your sign from Tracy. :cloud9:

If that really was a sign from Tracy then its the coolest thing EVER! Seriously! That bird was just so entertaining to watch. And I never would have noticed it if it wasn't for Denny!

Great that you got to meet up with some DIS friends again!

It really was fun to see Anita and Marc and to run into Mary, Kathy, and the girls again! A great way to end the night!

The last time we made a reservation for Rose and Crown we cancelled it too. Just can't seem to get back there.

That sounds just like us. We must have canceled two or three reservations. That's why I was determined to go this time NO MATTER WHAT! Glad I did. It was fun and yummy!

Boddington's great choice! I love that beer too!

One of my absolute favorites and I get it so infrequently. It's hard to find on draft.

Doesn't beer count as dessert anyway? ;)

In my book it does. For sure! :rotfl2:

Nice timing on everyone coming through the lobby at that time! Mega DISmeet.

I know! It worked out perfectly. I'm so glad we decided to head back over to the BC.

What a beautiful update! I really believe in signs and I'm so glad that you were able to get one from your friend.

Thank you! I really believe in signs and that bird really acted like a sign. It was a brief and fleeting encounter, but a very energetic one.

I'm glad that you finally got to eat at Rose and Crown! That salad looks delicious, and very light.

That salad was SO yummy! It really hit the spot. The whole meal was a fun experience. I'm really glad we kept our reservation this time!

You got some great shots from illuminations, especially since you were walking away while taking them. I like getting new pictures of things - different angles and perspectives are great so you don't end up with thousands of the same exact picture.

I really did get a new perspective. I would normally never take those pictures. Rather I would opt for the traditional. So it was pretty cool that I decided to do something new. Glad you liked them!
