I thought WDW stopped free Magic Bands with resort stays?

Oh Disney,...lol.

DD and I will be in the Orlando area next week, so last week I booked a one-night stay at Pop before my family arrives to pick us up the next day. So I add the reservation to MDE and it indicates I have 6 days to decide about Magic Bands.

Even though we're not really on a WDW trip (may pop in a day or two depending on how the trip is with school days), I was debating one of the new colors for $5 or I was planning to click "reuse" a band to use. So I thought I had 6 days but 2 days later I get an email informing me my grey Magic bands are being shipped out .

Anyone else still getting free grey MBs? (For a company so focused on cost-cutting, you'd think they'd pay attention to this stuff, lol)

Edited to add: Tracking on USPS right now indicates bands will arrive at my house on my checkout day from Pop, LOL. I think it'll arrive sooner though based on its current location.

They are still offering magic bands with resort stays, just not for free. The plain color ones are $5 and the ones with designs vary in price, starting at around $10-$15 and up

That's what I thought. But they sent me free grey ones a few days before I had to make my decision?

Some of those new colors though are so pretty so I hesitated. I know I don't need MBs though and I didn't want to impulse buy. I should have just clicked reuse

I think you can. IIRC, you can just tick off "reuse a magic band" for everyone one who doesn't need one and then order one for your DS's.

March and September?! That's pretty early. Disney I guess hasn't got it together yet

Due to weather coming our way, DD and I ended up down here 2 days earlier than planned. Free gray MBs will be waiting for me when we get home lol. (I'm not sure they would have arrived on time anyway).

I'd booked a Hotwire rate too and apparently HW you can add days on which I didn't realize. Saved a couple of hundred bucks!
