School doesn't officially let out until the 25th of June. But yesterday (the 3rd!) I found out that my son's Seventh Grade Science class just wrote their final test, and will be spending the rest of the year brainstorming solutions for the oil spill - and then sending them to BP!
I think its a fabulous real-world lesson plan - and kudos to the teacher - but I'm a little surprised that there's no more grading to be done. Apparently a number of the other classes are wrapping up next week.
I realize that nothing really happens during the last few days of school, but are those last few days typically the whole last 3 weeks? Did I just not notice before?
When do your schools stop formal, graded lessons?
